We are lucky enough to live in Wanaka where our comfortable homestay set in quiet surroundings has uninterrupted views.
Our best memories from travelling are where we have been welcomed and given insight into the area and the lives of our hosts. We would love to do this for you.
We have 2 spacious double bedrooms available with private bathrooms. We include breakfast ranging from full cooked to continental using fresh ingredients and organic where possible.
Our hens lay fresh eggs daily.
There are superb walks and bike tracks from the front door and in the summer a swim in our solar heated lap pool is a good way to start the day.
Wanaka has a variety of restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes. There are many local attractions from Sky Diving for the adventurous to NZ's largest Toy Museum for a slice of history.
There are three major ski fields in under an hour's drive which cater for all levels.
Our large house and garden captures a rural atmosphere in an urban setting and Dougal our soft natured dog will make you feel at home too.
A most spectacular setting, a "wee bit" like paradise. Lyn is a very warm and gracious host. Actually it felt like home, only nicer! Our accommodations were outstanding. Can't say enough about what a wonderful time we had- only wish we could have stayed longer. Hope to return.

We are on our honeymoon and what a sweet stay.We are happy to be with Lyn and her friendly family, including the good dog.We enjoy the lake view and the garden. The room is comfortable. The breakfast is awesome, fresh, and delicious.Very good coffee. We really like this home, and has recommended it to my friends, who will go for honeymoon as well.
We had a very luxurious stay with Lyn and her family. The views from the garden were stunning. We had a truly epicurean breakfast and Lyn was very helpful in suggesting a lovely walk to Diamond Lake and Rocky Mountain. We also had some very pleasant swimming in Lake Wanaka within walking distance of the house.
Lyn offers an unrivalled bed and breakfast total 'experience'. The views from her house over Lake Wanaka to the Aspiring National Park are simply stunning. The bed is excellently comfortable, with a spacious ensuite bathroom and a wonderful shower. If you fancy a swim there is an indoor pool. And Lyn's breakfasts are to die for. But you won't die because she uses the freshest of ingredients and is totally committed to healthy living. We had a wonderful stay and recommend it unreservedly.
Lyn is a generous and thoughtful host. There was a multisport event during the time we stayed at Wanaka. The town was very busy, so Lyn kindly informed us the day before our arrival and helped us book a restaurant. We also had a nice chat with Lyn and her husband Stew. They introduced Lake Wanaka area and gave great suggestions for our trip. Our breakfast was a feast. Everything is healthy and delicious. Lyn grows vegetables and has some hens in her garden. The eggs we had for the breakfast were laid by the lovely hens:) The guestroom is spacious with an ensuite bathroom and the bed is very comfortable. The lounge has a panoramic stunning view over Lake Wanaka. We had a wonderful stay at Lyn’s home and wish we could stay longer. Thank you for everything again from Nanjing and wish you a happy Chinese New Year. Hope to meet you again in the future, either in China or Wanaka.
Lyn and her family are full of good energy and make very warm hosts to the beautiful town of Wanaka. Be weary though... you may end up living there after your stay, because it is so hard to leave.
We had a really lovely stay in their beautiful house, admiring the view, enjoying meeting the family and indulging in Lyn's great cooking for breakfast.
We had a super time canyoning in Wanaka, and Lyn gave us some great restaurant tips for a romantic evening out.
Special thanks to the chooks who provided great entertainment roaming the garden as well as scrumptious eggs.
For all the gardeners, it is a real treat to admire what Lyn has created - both edible and aesthetic.
Thanks Lyn, Cat and Stu - great to meet you all.
Our stay with Lyn was fantastic. Lyn was a fabulous host, providing a home away from home, and a delicious breakfast! The house has stunning views of the lake, and the house itself is incredibly warm and inviting. We had great conversations with Lyn, Stew, and her daughters, making us feel like family. We were reluctant to leave, and will hopefully return one day.
Lyn was a fabulous host and is a kind and generous person. Her home is warm and simply has the most gorgeous view of Lake Wanaka imaginable. Follow her advice as to where to go in town and you will not be disappointed.
The highlight would have to have been the eggs freshly laid with love by her chickens, and the rest of the beautifully home made and organic breakfast. Definitely recommend staying here.
This house was absolutely fantastic. The pictures do not do the view justice. It is by far the best view on Lake Wanaka. Lyn's breakfasts were a treat! She was there if you needed her but not overbearing in any way. I would recommend staying here to anyone.
