It was an all around wonderful stay.
Location: Couldn't have been better.
Parking: Be sure to ask the front desk about the discounted rate! We ended up saving over $25 per day per car by using that discount. It was right around the corner.
Front desk: Julia at the front desk was lovely. She helped us with everything we needed.
The apartment: Wow! The common area is much roomier than the pictures imply. We had no problem fitting everyone in the space--the kitchen was fairly well equipped. We were able to do a little cooking for ourselves (breakfast/lunch). We also loved having two roomy bathrooms for the five ladies.
Jason: Although I never met Jason, he was extremely responsive to our messages. And, everything went off without a hitch!
Overall, I would recommend this apartment to anyone coming to Chicago for a weekend, or longer!
I could not have wished for better accommodation. Everything was clean, the living room and bathrooms were spacious and if the bedrooms seamed a little cramped it was because of the giant beds. The kitchen was filled with much welcome basic food items like butter, oil, coffee, tee, noodles and spices. Everything inside the loop and in the near north side is inside walking distance and several L stations are in immediate proximity. There is a very nice cheese and wine shop in the building and a seven eleven right across the street if you need to pick up some supplies. The rooftop terrace and the indoor lounge were great as well. If you are more than four people someone will have to sleep on the couch which is large enough but does not fold out. I can fully recommend this place to everyone.
After such a positive experience with this same "Temp Homes Chicago" ((website hidden)), I decided to alert Jason through AirBnB to see if he had a property available for another business trip. Jason alerted me to this property. While it was larger than what I needed, the location was fantastic! You could not ask for a better location; in the heart of the loop. Shopping and convenience to the "L" were minutes walk away. I came into O'Hare, took the train nearly right to the front door. The 2-bedroom itself is well decorated, comfortable and has plenty of room for two couples or a traveling family. There is a washer/dryer in the unit which proved to be very useful. The building has a business center, movie theatre, fitness center and a rooftop patio with a hot tub. All around the building are countless shopping and dining options. The internet is super fast and the cable is beyond typically furnished "basic channels". If you can find something better for a greater value, then you must be in a different city. There's no doubt that you make your stay what you put into it, but with a property like this, it's near impossible to have a bad experience.
We had a great time at Jason's place. It's really conveniently located, and Jason was an attentive and accommodating host. I recommend both the apartment and the host highly, and would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay at Jason's apartment. Great location in downtown Chicago. Easy access to public transportation, and we walked to all of our shopping. The apartment had everything that we needed including soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, etc., etc., etc.! Fully furnished and ready for guests. Very comfortable. Jason was a terrific host, too. I highly recommend Jason and his place to anyone looking for a great and convenient place to stay!
You can't beat the location. Perfect for someone visiting Chicago for the first time. Checking in and out was simple and fast. The apartment looks really nice as well.
This IS a sleek apartment. So lovely and posh. I cannot wait to return! Our overall experience was wonderful and we will return without any hesitation.
Here are the pros and cons.
-Location (enough cannot be said). Einstein's bagels right next door, millions of Starbucks within spitting distance, shops, museums, theater, all in easy walking. So much fun to be had SO close!
-Ease of check in
-Communication with hosts
-Close, easy, not-too-expensive parking
-Big Windows, lots of light, pretty floors
-Quiet neighbors (didn't hear a peep)
-Close to train stations. Train from O'Hare practically dropped me off at door.
-No bottle opener or dishwasher detergent
-A little dust along the baseboards, etc.
-I did a little rearranging of the master bed mattress cover to make sure it was just as I wanted. Once I did that, I had a great sleep. SUPER comfy bed.
-Hot tub closed in winter. (Sad!)
OVERALL-- GREAT PLACE!
We had a great stay in Chicago. The location of the property was convenient. Front desk was knowledgable and helpful. The unit we stayed in was listed as a luxury place. It was not. The towels, bedding, door hardware was subpar. The closet door was leaning against the wall in one I of the bedrooms. The rug and sofa in the living room was stained. There was popcorn on the floor when we arrived. Finally, there was a strong smell of room deodorizer in the hallway by the elevators on the ground floor.
Great apartment, close to everything. Easy check in and check out, everyone was very helpful. Would definitely recommend it and go again.
Wonderful (email hidden)autiful, clean, secure and very flexible and accommodating. Roof top is amazing... Only complaints... master bedroom bed is very, very uncomfortable. There seems to be a huge hump in the middle. We slept with our heads towards two different walls and could not get comfortable. The train outside the window wasn't as bad as the comfort of the bed. Would I stay again.... Yes...especially if the bed was replaced....location is remarkable.
