Interaction with Guests
I will not meet you during your stay. I will not be home. I list rooms in my apartment on Airbnb because I travel internationally a lot. As I will not be home I will not be able to offer you any interaction in person. I am always available to you via Airbnb messaging should you need anything or have any questions.
My caretaker checks in my guests and cleans my rooms, he will meet you to check you in and answer any questions you may have about the apartment.
There is a guide in your room of “things to see and do” I have listed some restaurants, pubs, and some local attractions.
My caretaker is available to you should you need anything or if you have a question, all you have to do is call him or message me on Airbnb. :-)
We are located right in the heart of Dublin city centre so you have easy access to shopping and restaurants (Henry Street, Grafton Street) and sight seeing destinations like Trinity College, St. Stephen's Green, and Temple Bar. The apartment could not be more centrally located.
It is just a 1 minute walk to Dublin's historic O'Connell Street, so Dublin city is on your doorstep. It is a short walk away to most major bus routes, the Luas, Taxis, and Connolly Station (serving Dublin DART and national Irish Rail routes).
Other Things to Note
I will not be home during your stay, you will not meet me. My caretaker will check you in.
My caretaker cleans the rooms after every guest checks out. He cleans the common areas and the bathrooms daily.
Fresh clean bedding and towels are provided for every guest. If you need more towels, just ask my caretaker :-)
I provide clean budget rooms for a budget price. Better than a hostel, but not as fancy as a hotel. You are staying in a room in an apartment.
You must call when you arrive to the apartment complex, this is absolutely mandatory. I do not have a front desk or reception like a hotel would. You must call, this way my caretaker knows you are outside of the apartment complex to be collected, check you in, and give you keys. If your mobile phone does not work in Ireland, please use a payphone to call.
There will be other guests in the apartment during your stay, you are booking a room not an entire apartment. Your room is not shared, the apartment is shared.
The shower, toilet, and sink is shared between guests. There is a lock on the bathroom door for your privacy.
Sorry, there is no kitchen or living room available for your use.
There is no clothes washer or dryer available for your use. In my “House Manual” section you will see I have provided the address and contact information of a laundromat near my apartment.
You will have to walk up stairs to get the apartment and to the room, there is no elevator.
Sorry, I can't store luggage before you check in or after you check out. In the “House Manual” section you find contact details of a tourist office near my home who provides this service for a small fee.
There is no "free" or "guest" parking available. You will find the address and contact information of a parking garage nearby in the “House Manual” section.
If a 3 people are staying a single air mattress will be provided for the 3rd person.

The flat is exactly as you see it , the bathroom could have been cleaner though.
The behaviour of the owner may leave some perplexity .
I checked out three hours later , only for my own distraction as I immediately admitted ( the checkout mustn't be after 10 , I did everything at 13 ) : as a result I ' ve found my stuff and the one of my girlfriend crammed in our luggages in the common corridor of the flat ( with an IPhone and other expensive items exposed to other guests ) . I understood that I might have caused troubles , so I gave my apologies , luckily the other guest did not come yet . As an answer , Now She asks me 30 additional € for a 3H delay in checking out . It's absolutely unreasonable since by any means she got any economical disadvantage from my delay , nor she couldn't receive the next guests .
I have no words for such a greedy behaviour and I Will not pay it .
The pros: This place was clean and sufficient for a visit to Dublin. Marcos is super nice and quick and friendly. Room was nice and bright. The bed was comfortable, but on the firm side. The room is exactly as pictured. Near Tesco so getting water, etc is convenient. Near Jervis Street Shopping so easy to get a Sim Card for your phone, etc.
Cons: Hard to find. Hard to get out of as well. You don't exit the same way you enter (or at least I didn't/wasn't able to). There are a lot of doors to go through to get to this place. It's all stairs and you're dragging your luggage up and down. The walls are pretty thin as well and you can hear people coming and going pretty loudly, which can disturb sleep. When I went to go take a shower around 11:30 PM, there was no hot water. Jarvis street parking was more expensive than the host originally told me. Ended up playing $40 for 1.5 days of parking.
The location is okay. Not really spectacular. Parnell St is kind of dirty. It's a main shopping area, so that much is ok, but it's still a bit of a walk to get to the tourist attractions like Temple Bar and Christ Church. I would estimate it at 20 minutes at a nice brisk pace. My experience here was okay, but I don't think I'd stay here again. It's too much work to get to and out of the apartment, plus the thin walls, plus not having hot water in the evening for a shower makes it not worth staying here again. Doesn't mean you shouldn't if you should be so inclined, but it's not for me.
Anastasia's place is in an excellent location! Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. The room is trendy, colorful and clean - just like the pictures. Marco was extremely helpful and was always there to answer any questions we had. The only problem we had which I understand was beyond anyone's control was the lack of hot water in the shower. We weren't able to take a descent shower during our stay, but since we were visiting Dublin for a short time this problem did not affect us too much. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to have privacy, yet be right in the heart of the city to explore.
My room at Anastasia's was very nice. I loved the decor, it felt very warm and cosy. I had everything I needed there. I stayed there before catching my long flight home, and had a wonderful night's sleep. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Their caretaker Marco was so friendly and quick to accommodate by ensuring I had everything I needed.
Great accommodation! The room was immaculate, the location is 10 minutes away from Trinity College and the caretaker of the property was very friendly.
I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the flat is very quiet and you can easily rest there!

I am an international lawyer, who loves travel, learning new languages, and I love meeting interesting people from all over the world!
If you are staying with me please note that I am frequently traveling so if you are staying in my home you may not meet me, but my caretaker is always available to help you if you have any needs.
