Interaction with Guests
I love to meet my guests but travel a lot; always a lot of communication and happy to answer any and all questions. Information is Ammunition; Baggage is Bondage
no smoking, no pets
Catherine was the most gracious host! I wish I would have been able to meet her in person. She was so attentive and shared lots of great travel tips with me before and during my stay. Her apartment was absolutely perfect! It was small, and quaint, with a lovely terrace and in the best neighborhood in Paris. Everything was a walks distance away. Her apartment was especially ideal for female solo travelers as it was very safe, and the neighborhood has the best shopping in all of Paris! I had an incredible time in Paris, and it was in large part because of Catherine's generous hospitality and her lovely little flat. I highly recommend Catherine as a host, and I would love to stay here again on my next trip to Paris!
Though I did not get to meet her in person, Catherine was an awesome host. She prepared everything in advance for me and was in communication before and during my stay. She gave me all the info I had asked for regarding the neighborhood, places to go, etc. The apartment was clean upon arrival and was perfect for my stay in Paris. The neighborhood was just where one would want to be--great shopping, great eats, great nightlife. The terrace overlooking the street made the stay even better--to just sit back and chill with a glass of wine in the evening (or late morning--don't judge!) was a routine that I came to enjoy. I'll be back some day and I hope the apartment is vacant when that time comes....
First off Catherine was a great host. She greeted us with wine and a chat on the terrace. Not only is she friendly but is a wealth of knowledge about the city and more specifically her neighbourhood (more on that later). The apartment is both clean and charming. What really excited me was how well it functions for it's size. It's small but feels big! The terrace is a nice spot to sit at the end of the day and watch people look up at you with curiosity. The bed is comfortable and makes for a good night's sleep. Location is ideal - close to the Metro or walking distance from the major highlights (Notre Dame, Louvre, Picasso museum just around the corner). Now on to the neighbourhood. Lots of little cobblestone streets to wander down and lose yourself in. Art galleries, boutiques and so much good food. We were lucky enough to be there for a summer music festival when there were bands playing in every nook and cranny. This is an ideal spot whether you are a daytime or nightlife culture lover. Don't be afraid though-it's also quiet for a good night's sleep. The apartment is good for two people and as a side note is would be an exceptional spot for solo women travellers. Both the apartment and neighbourhood feel safe.
When we arrived to the apartment it was nice clean and inviting. There was champagne on ice. Better hostess does not exist. Perfect.
The hostess had made sure that everything was explained around the apartment. Grease with free Internet.
The apartment is perfectly located in Le Marais. With fine restaurants and bars. It's very cozy area. There is everything you need. A supermarket is 150 meters from the apartment.
The apartment itself has what you need, a nice little kitchen and a clean toilet. The balcony is great. We spent a lot of time there, O) The sun there are from clock 15 to 18 Wonderful to enjoy a cold glass of rosé.
It is with much compliments I recommend this little treasure.
I travel. A lot I was born and raised in Santa Fe New Mexico, went to Stanford University and had the good fortune to study in Italy. There I lived with a wine making family and was (happily) ruined for life in the US. I moved to Paris in 1983 and bought my Marais apartment in 1984. It was renovated in 2010 and is an ideal base for Paris explorations. I have not missed the Fiesta of San Fermin in Pamplona since 1983.
