My Guesthouse is close to the beach and public transport. It is situated in Fairlight which is between Rye and Hastings and there is so much to see and do in the area. Each of the three lovely en suite rooms is named after a celebrated photographer. This is Cecil Beaton.
Converted in 2015, the Guesthouse rooms were beautifully decorated, each with its own unique style. Beaton has an original double Victorian bed frame and Moroccan influenced style. The lovely bathroom has a Moroccan copper basin and a double shower. the rooms belong to a photographer who runs 1:1 and small group tuition for all levels in her studio opposite the Guesthouse. You can incorporate this with a stay here. You can also book a portrait session whilst staying here. Please enquire.
Guests also have access to a kitchenette which has its own entrance a couple of feet away from Beaton. The kitchenette is shared with the two other rooms in the Guesthouse. It has a sink, preparation area, kettle, microwave, table top oven, washing machine, dish washer, fridge. There are plates, cups, cutlery , glasses etc. Please note that there is no hob. There is a brick built barbecue in the courtyard and charcoal supplied. There as also a wooden table and benches.
Interaction with guests
On greeting my guests, I always stress that I am available for questions , recommendations and help and just ask that clients call me before coming up to the Barn.
If anything special is required before arrival, guests can let me know a couple of days before their arrival.
Other things to note
Just that the area has an abundance of everything that is good and something for everyone.
With respect. There is a no smoking policy and small and medium dogs are welcome in Beaton and Capa (but not in Avedon) but must be kept on a lead inside of the grounds. Doggy bags are supplied in case of accidents. A cleaning fee of £25 is applied if dogs stay.
