Beautiful quite neighbourhood. The hosts are extremely nice and helpful. As soon as we arrived we were given a nice welcome, we were offered coffee and also was given indications for were to go to have dinner. The host kindly brought the coffee and cake to our room since we were very tired after a day of car travelling. The room is comfy and looks nice, also very clean. The bathroom is modern and is very efficient, you will love having a shower in there after a long day. Wifi works great. Unfortunately the only let down for us was when the ceiling started dripping onto the bed at one point during the night as it was raining cats and dogs. We just threw a couple of towels on the spot were it was dripping and when the rain stopped so did the leak. No big deal we still had a good sleep, although it was a bit uncomfortable. The breakfast is very tasty and the hosts are so kind to explain how to get to connemara and gave us tips. Definetly reccomend this b&b as im sure the leak will be fixed and this was a remote incident.
Everything about our stay with the Bretts was absolutely wonderful. It was like a lovely private Irish B&B and felt like coming home.
Geraldine gave us tips on the most scenic way to drive to Galway from our previous night at Westport and tips for dinner; we were warmly greeted on arrival with tea and home made scones and cakes and a lovely chat with them both; and breakfast was generous home cooking, catered to different tastes and very lovely.
The room was clean, the bathroom recently renovated and plenty of warm water and all toiletries and hair dryer was provided, although not used. Would definitely stay longer or again if we could.
There is only one word to describe our experience : PERFECT. The welcome in friendly and warm , (like the home-made scones and tart!) the room is ultra-clean , decorated with taste.... The location of the house is just perfect! Neither far away or too close from the city.... The breakfast is perfect... and the gardener (and husband) of the house will propose to you dozens of places to visit depending on your tastes and wills.... Geraldine and Noel....Thanks again and see you next year !
We had a overnight stay in Galway and Geraldine and Noel were great hosts. From the moment we arrived they were very welcoming and we really enjoyed our brief stay. Noel dropped us down to dinner in a nearby restaurant which was much appreciated and the en-suite room was very comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty too.
Geraldine and Noel are great hosts who made us most welcome. The atmosphere was relaxed and they were very enthusiastic when it came to us getting the most out of our time with them.
The house is in a peaceful area not too far from Galway which was great fun to visit.
I would certainly recommend staying with them.
Geraldine and Noel were fantastic hosts. They made us tea and buns as soon as we arrived! They have a great knowledge of Galway and went to great lengths to ensure that we had a great holiday. I would definitely recommend staying here.
This was my first time using Airbnb and I can tell you that Geraldine and Noel have set the bar very high for hosting standards :)
It was a wonderful welcome, they were so accommodating, and even drove me to the wedding I was attending nearby. They are both well travelled and had wonderful stories and advice to share. After just one night, I could have stayed for a week I felt so at home! Geraldine is a wonderful cook and I was treated to a lovely breakfast with her homemade spelt buns and homemade jam - heavenly.
Their family home is a lovely place, with a beautiful garden. The en suite bedroom I booked had a very comfortable bed and a fantastic shower. The area itself just outside Galway city is very scenic and if you are travelling around Ireland it is the ideal resting spot, whether you are a tourist or a native :)
