As we are living there, we’ll be glad to share with you the pleasure to live in this building : you go down the rue de Poissy, and , in, 3 mn, you’re on the banks of the river Seine, with a splendid view on the « chevet » (the rear side) of Notre-Dame. If you cross the river, you are on the « Ïle St Louis » and from there, « Le Marais » , la place des Vosges, la Bastille, or Châtelet and Hôtel de Ville.
Following the river, you’re 25 mn from le Louvre and the Tuileries.
If you prefer to stay on the left bank, you are in the quartier Latin, either you can climb the « Montagne Ste Geneviève » to the Panthéon, la rue Mouffetard, or go to St Michel, StGermain des Prés, le Luxembourg.
You’ll find everyrhing in the neighborood, from (lots of !) restaurants and cafés to market places, travel agencies, supermarkets, post office, banks, museums book shops, cinemas, even a zoo (Jardin des Plantes), an hospital, lots of buses stops, metro and RER stations, two major railway stations (Gare de Lyon, Gare d’Austerlitz) an easy connection to both Paris airports by public transports….
And that is only if you don’t want to walk more than 15 mn !
Despite the fact that rue de Poissy is a quiet street, the studio has sound proof windows, with good daylight coming in.
We are living nearby, we'll be able to have a smooth communication with our clients.
Check-in and check-out may be flexible, with the option of keeping luggage in a safe place, while, for exemple, the studio is being cleaned up, or, after the check-out.
We had a lovely time in Bernard and Francine's apartment - everything was as we expected - the flat was close to a couple of Carrefour express shops and bakeries, as well as a 'Franprix' across the road. The flat was a good size for two people to sleep in for a few days. Bernard was a great host - very accommodating and laid back. Would highly recommend to others. Many thanks!
The apartment is super. The location is fantastic - quiet but close to everything . Bernard was immediately available to let us in and show us the apartment and was very kind and helpful. The bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed. There is useful tourist info in the apartment. There are great affordable restaurants in the area. There is a supermarket right across the street. It is an easy walk to the Seine and Notre Dame. I highly recommend this apartment.
This apartment is situated in the heart of Paris with short walking distance to all essential shops and station. Bernard is very attentive to our requests and answer to emails promptly. The apartment was exactly how it was described on the internet and it was kept in a very tidy condition. I would recommend this apartment to young couples as there are quite a few narrow steps to climb.
bernard was really a very caring person with whom stayed in his house which is actually the lower floor of where he lives.
he designed the house in a very useful manner. we could move in a small apartment very comfortably because he placed the bed on the plane he constructed in the apartment.
the house location was perfect for people who'd like to tour around Paris.
our plane was late in the day (6:00 p.m.) and he took our luggage into his apartment until we go to the airport, so we could have a little bit more time to see Paris. that was very nice of him.
I recommend his apartment to couples who would like to have a nice visit to Paris.
Bernard met us at the flat. We were early, so we just left our bags there and had lunch since it was still being cleaned. The location is excellent and the neighborhood is great. The flat is very small but we knew that from the pictures. We loved the large beautiful windows that let in the cool spring air. I would not recommend this flat for anyone who is not able to climb up and down the stairs to the loft bed. It is a very narrow ladder and would be difficult for some people. We enjoyed our stay and the flat served its purpose for us for our trip to Paris.
Great little apartment set in the heart of Paris. Right next door to Notre Dame. Bernard met us right away and had good instructions on how to get to the place. He lives in the building making him super accessible.
Metro and RER stations very close and only a 35 min train from the airport which is very easy to follow.
Perfect amount of space for two travellers on the go. Comfy bed and all amenities you may need!
Definitely recommend this for anyone looking to put themselves in a great position to view all Paris has to offer! Quiet neighbourhood and lots of food options nearby! Grocery store literally across the way!! Thanks Bernard for your hospitality!
