The studio is below our appartment, in a 17th century building, just near the « Collège des Bernardins », rue de Poissy.
The studio, at the 2nd floor ( no elevator) is 15m3, the bed (200X160) is on a mezzanine, there’s a small bathroom with shower and WC , a fully fitted kitchen with fridge, microwave and everything needed for ccoking and eating.
Fresh towels and sheets furnished.
WiFi connection available.
As we are living there, we’ll be glad to share with you the pleasure to live in this building : you go down the rue de Poissy, and , in, 3 mn, you’re on the banks of the river Seine, with a splendid view on the « chevet » (the rear side) of Notre-Dame. If you cross the river, you are on the « Ïle St Louis » and from there, « Le Marais » , la place des Vosges, la Bastille, or Châtelet and Hôtel de Ville.
Following the river, you’re 25 mn from le Louvre and the Tuileries.
If you prefer to stay on the left bank, you are in the quartier Latin, either you can climb the « Montagne Ste Geneviève » to the Panthéon, la rue Mouffetard, or go to St Michel, StGermain des Prés, le Luxembourg.
You’ll find everyrhing in the neighborood, from (lots of !) restaurants and cafés to market places, travel agencies, supermarkets, post office, banks, museums book shops, cinemas, even a zoo (Jardin des Plantes), an hospital, lots of buses stops, metro and RER stations, two major railway stations (Gare de Lyon, Gare d’Austerlitz) an easy connection to both Paris airports by public transports….
And that is only if you don’t want to walk more than 15 mn !
Despite the fact that rue de Poissy is a quiet street, the studio has sound proof windows, with good daylight coming in.
We are living nearby, we'll be able to have a smooth communication with our clients.
Check-in and check-out may be flexible, with the option of keeping luggage in a safe place, while, for exemple, the studio is being cleaned up, or, after the check-out.
Bernard was very welcoming and made sure we had all the information/access we needed. The unit was true to the pictures and the location was a big win! Easy access to supermarkets and key attractions such as Notre Dame, Luxembourg gardens, Pantheon and the Louve were all within close walking distance. Metro lines close by were also a positive. I would highly recommend this unit however there are Two things to note, which are not of the fault of the owners. I would not recommend this unit if you are more than 6'1feet tall as you are likely to struggle with some of the beams in be unit. And also due to it being warmer, we had to leave the windows open at night to sleep and we found it extremely noisey early in the morning which would wake us up multiple times. Just something to be aware of, but again this is not due to fault on the owners behalf. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Our host greeted us as we entered, he was very nice. The apartment was as described. The neighborhood was beautiful with easy access to the Metro, a grocery store, a bank, and the River.
The flat was small, but in an excellent location, close to metro stations, supermarket, and a lovely market in Place Maubert. Everything I needed was supplied in the flat.
Bernard was very prompt at replying to emails, and was available to meet me and kindly carry my suitcase up the stairs.
I stayed during an exceptional heatwave in July, and the flat was very hot - there was a fan but it wasn't terribly efficient.
My only negative comment is that the street was very noisy at night, with loud motorbikes at all hours, and a noisy bar diagonally opposite.
Otherwise, very satisfied, and good value if you want to live like a Parisienne for a few days!
Bernard was helpful and polite. Place was small yet cozy. We managed quite well. Good location. We walked to practically everywhere because the tube was slower.
We had a lovely time in Bernard and Francine's apartment - everything was as we expected - the flat was close to a couple of Carrefour express shops and bakeries, as well as a 'Franprix' across the road. The flat was a good size for two people to sleep in for a few days. Bernard was a great host - very accommodating and laid back. Would highly recommend to others. Many thanks!
The apartment is super. The location is fantastic - quiet but close to everything . Bernard was immediately available to let us in and show us the apartment and was very kind and helpful. The bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed. There is useful tourist info in the apartment. There are great affordable restaurants in the area. There is a supermarket right across the street. It is an easy walk to the Seine and Notre Dame. I highly recommend this apartment.
This apartment is situated in the heart of Paris with short walking distance to all essential shops and station. Bernard is very attentive to our requests and answer to emails promptly. The apartment was exactly how it was described on the internet and it was kept in a very tidy condition. I would recommend this apartment to young couples as there are quite a few narrow steps to climb.
