The bathroom boasts unique tile-work and a spacious walk-in shower. The apartment is a large one-room studio with a small efficient kitchenette and a full fold out futon love-seat for sleeping. Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • The loft was beautifully furnished and very clean/neat. Located just a few blocks from the heart of historic downtown, it was a short walk to some of the bars and restaurants Charlottesville has to offer. Its proximity is also very close to the UVA campus so if you wanted to take a tour, you could easily leave your car and just walk. The instructions left by Oliver and his delegate were very specific (where to park, how to pick up the key, when the neighbors go prefer the noise to be kept down, etc.). I think they've perfected the hosting experience and have taken great care of their guests!

  • The apartment was very well stocked with anything that you might need and more then you would expect. Great kitchen! and roomy for a studio. Forty-five minutes to Shenandoah National Park and within walking distance to downtown Charlottesville. You can climb/hike on the mountains, take a dip in the swimming holes, enjoy the country scenery on your drive back, and see some great live music when you get back to town. Plenty to do in and outside of Charlottesville!

  • Great apartment! It was clean, easy to find, convenient walking distance to the train station and the Corner/UVa Grounds, great amenities, plus really cute decor and a wonderful shower. Check in information provided was easy to follow, and flexibility on checking out was much appreciated!! Overall a great stay!

  • Yet another great experience. Definitely going to be my go-to place to stay when I need somewhere in Charlottesville. Oliver and Natasha were really flexible and made everything easy, easy to communicate with, pretty ideal for me. Definitely recommended.

  • The studio was great. Natasha and Oliver were great and accommodated my last minute reservation. It was easy to check in and out.

  • A nice place, in an "up-and-coming" neighborhood. It's walking distance from both UVa and the Downtown Mall -- super convenient. I stayed there for two nights.

    * Check-in was super easy with a lock box.
    * The place is quite nice, with a lot of character.
    * Location is super convenient to UVa and Downtown Mall.
    * Reliable wifi.
    * Bathroom is particularly nice.

    * The neighborhood felt a wee bit sketchy. People were yelling at each other in the street at 2 a.m. my first night there -- not in a harmless drunk way, but in an aggressive way. Evidently the neighborhood gets worse as you go south, from what I read and heard from locals during my visit.
    * The A/C unit was quite loud, to the point of being unbearable -- so it got rather hot (82 degrees), despite the ceiling fan. I imagine Oliver will fix this soon, so hopefully it's just a temporary thing.

    Response from Oliver:

    Thanks Adrian, I'm sorry about the shouting on the street. I can see how that would influence your view of our neighborhood and I am sorry for that since we have a lot of pride in it. I would have to say that this is not a typical occurrence in our neighborhood, but more of an isolated incident that could occur in probably any neighborhood in the city.

  • Great location within a short walk from downtown, very clean and relaxing place. Lots of attention to detail with nice woodwork, and especially nice bathroom/tiles

  • Oliver's place (email hidden) to stay while in C'ville. The appartment is beatifull and located at the hart of town. Oliver was very resourceful - there has been a problam with the toilet and Oliver did his best to fix it as quickly as possible. Overall - we will come back to stay here, the next time we get to C'ville.

  • The Fifeville studio was great! The place has a beautiful design with a recent stylish renovation. The location is nearly ideal - only a couple blocks from the Amtrak station and Main Street, and a short walk to both UVA and the downtown mall.

I'm from Charlottesville, Virginia and live there with my wife, Natasha. We live with an exceptional dog (Lika) who won't ever travel with us for dislike of cars. We have both recently transitioned to working for ourselves in order to have more flexible schedules and allow for more travel! We renovate and rent houses in the urban core of Charlottesville and we are gearing up for nine months of traveling in South America beginning with the World Cup in Brazil!
