At the end of January is the Truffle festival in Uzès, the whole town is devoted to the black diamond, kilos for sale on the market place , demonstrations of truffle hunting and all the restaurants proposing a special truffle menu - an unique experience !There are a multitude of things to do and see in the region of Uzes.
Very well situated for all the cultural events during the summer, dance and music festivals in Uzes itself, plus those of Nimes and of course the wonderful open air festivals in Orange and Vaison La Romaine

Klass was most helpful and our accommodation was excellent, the location, comfort, cleaniness - we had no complaints whatsoever. Would recommend this accommodation to anyone. thank you
We have been traveling in France for the past 2 months and our stay in Klaas' wonderful apartment in Uzes was one of our favourites (so far).
The apartment is located right in the heart of Uzes village in the famous square Place aux Herbes where the markets take place.
Although we didn't get to meet Klaas he was always available via email and quick to respond to our questions (in perfect english).
In terms of facilities, everything has been thought of. A comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, wi fi, great bathroom and dining/lounge area. It was too cold to take advantage of the balcony, however I imagine it would be very pleasant in the warmer months.
There is no car park so you'll need to park in the surrounding paid car parks (5-7min walk) or search for a free space further away.
Uzes was in a sleepy mood in November, actually all of France is! However, there was enough to do within the region to keep us occupied for the week.
Highly recommend staying in this apartment and thanks again Klaas :-)
I have just returned from a wonderful week in Uzes, this is my 3rd trip and it never disappoints! The flat was perfect for us, great location in the market square with a fabulous balcony that was a fantastic suntrap and ideal for sipping ice cold rose wine! We sampled lots of the local restaurants as well buying lots of local produce to cook in our very well equipped kitchen - will definitely book again next year
