Hibly was a very generous and accommodating host. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was mostly home-grown and delicious. I was house-hunting in the area and felt I had the freedom to come and go according to the erratic timetabling of local estate agents! Non pet-owners should be aware that the cats, though cute and good-natured, tend to curl up at the top of the stairs. All said, I'd definitely recommend staying here to anyone who's passing through and needs a place to stay the night in a homely and welcoming environment.
About the Host, Hibly And Saul
I am a teacher and tutor and my partner Saul is a retired HR specialist. We love our garden and the produce and flowers we grow in it, our 5 sons, cats Betty and Lily and music especially folk. We are involved with many local organisations, a restored water mill, conservation groups ,and choirs both church and secular.
We like to camp in summer and stay in comfy hotels in the winter, visiting beautiful countryside and British cities.
As hosts we are friendly but not intrusive, and we cook a mean breakfast using local and home grown ingredients whenever possible.
