Wonderful large studio apartment located in one of the best locations of London, minutes away from Leicester square, just around the corner from Soho and nearby China Town.
This lovely flat includes a very modern layout, power shower and an inviting reception area. Ideally for a single guest or a pair or a couple, it has a comfortable single bed and a double bed that could make 3 guests sleeping at one time.
It's sited only seconds away from theaters, coffee bars, pubs, tubes and buses. Also great for shopping and sites view along the river Thames. Night life can be hectic with the Trendy and friendly atmosphere all around the area.
I will be able to make special offer to stay longer than 5 nights so do not hesitate to contact me!!
Unfortunately I'm not ready yet to accept reservation for next summer during the Olympics Games.
I apologies for the inconvenience.
Soho is in the very centre of London. It is the busiest club and bar area in London.
Westminster is just around the corner and this is where you can find Big Ben and the beautiful buildings of Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace.
Kensington is only a short journey away and is the home to several major museums such as Natural History museum and Science museum. The famous department stores Harrods, Peter Jones and Harvey Nichols are also located in Kensington.
Hyde Park is a short walk away, where you will find Kensington Gardens. On the east side off Hyde Park you will reach Oxford Street, the most famous shopping street in London with shops such as Selfridges and Debenhams. Most attractions of London are within easy reach, such as Piccadilly Circus, Madame Tussauds and Tower of London.
There are plenty of tube stations in the area that will take you wherever you want to go in London. If you want to enjoy the extensive night life London has to offer, there are also plenty of buses and night buses running 24/7 from all directions in London.
Great location. Super loud at night, so stay there only if you don't plan on sleeping.
Good experience in engaging Lucy. She was very flexible during our check-in and late check-out due to our flight schedules.
Geographical wise, place was great. Just across London's china town, there are hundreds of restaurants for us to choose from. So don't have to worry about food when you're here. Just to note, forget about getting any drinks/snacks from the Indian Convenience Store - Dodo opp the apartment, total rip off. You should just walk down Dean St to get your groceries from Tesco.
Night time was quite a horror to us, as we are staying in the middle of SOHO, we couldn't really get to sleep cos of the racket made by the pub goers. Shouting, screaming, sirens won't stop until 4-5am everyday so one should really prepare your ear plugs if you want to have any peace at night. Day time was pleasant, except for the funny kitchen smell coming from everywhere.
Would be great if there's a portable fan available. Cos we had to leave the windows open for air to come in. No air conditioning was available.
A decent place to stay, but not for the weak hearted i must say :)
-apartment was really dirty - we bought CIF and cleaned the shower to use it, water does not flow properly
-it is much more “used” than presented on the photo
-there was no electrically on Saturday (approx. 10.30 am – 17.30 pm)
-Lucy does not answer calls, but she replies quickly to smses
Great location in Soho London. Apartment was decently clean enough and came with cooking equipment like pans and plates that you can use. Didn't had any problem with the hot shower. However, be advised that as you will be staying in Soho London, the street tends to get a bit loud even till 3/4 am. There are restaurants all around the apartment and the street feels safe. Will come back again! Lucy was also very particular about cleaning the flat properly before passing it to us!
Great host, great flat, great location, walking distance from many of the most famous spots of London.
It's very hard to contact the owner after paying.
I sent a airbnb message to Lucy to arrange the check in time because she asked me first to hand me over the key, but she didn't replied to my message for 2 weeks. I sent a message again, got no answer again. So I called her but she didn't answer the phone. Then I sent a sms message and finally I could get answer but it was quite after I've sent the message.
She said I can get the key in front of the door by Andrea on 11:30am. (It was 11 but she changed the time a night before. I mean, she was the setter of the time.) But there was no one in front of the door on time, and she didn't answer the phone and text message both again. I could do nothing but just wait for long time with my luggages in the middle of street through the strong wind and a bit of rain until I saw a guy who was getting in the door. I showed him the flat's picture from airbnb website, and fortunately he knew about the flat - I asked about the flat to a hairshop on downstairs of the flat and a chinese restaurant which located in next building, but nobody knew - so he got Andrea down to the street, and finally I could get in the room.
The location is good, but noisy in the night. Single bed is on the upstairs and it's too shady and humid to sleep. It was useless for us. there is a couch that could be alternative, not in satisfactory condition. The flat is almost same with the posted pictures but not very clean.
I tried a lot to be polite to Lucy everytime, but this my first airbnb experience was totally disappointing.
The pros :
The flat is very well located, walking distance to Picadilly, Oxford Street, Covent garden ... And of course the underground.
It has all the convenience, the noise from the street and the natural light was quite not a problem as we were tired from our visits !
No problem if you want to leave your baggage in before leaving the flat.
The cons :
The matress is old and noisy, and the couch not very comfy.
We would have appreciate to meet Lucy in person (a friend of hers gave us the keys), as she is long to answer our messages, she seems very busy :-)
But the location is so great, many shops and restaurants/bar around the building, you can stay here and enjoy your trip in London !
This accommodation is simple but perfect. It's near places like Leicester square, puiccadilly circus/regent street and off course soho itself.
The appartment has all the basics you need and was clean. Restaurants and supermarkets never far away in soho.
Lucy also helped us out a lot with receiving our arsenal tickets and letting us leave our bags there the last day. Thanks again for that, Lucy!
I'll certainly come back again to this place.
Lucy's flat is really perfectly situated: it is in the middle of Soho, near Oxfordstreet, tubestation, Picadilly, breakfast places, bars and restaurants. So you can easily walk to many different places. The room was rather a bit small for the three of us, but because we were out all day and just there for sleeping, that was fine. The flat was very clean. I would recommend it to people who don't expect a five star hotel. I would go there again.
