My wife and I had the most wonderful holiday staying in Skye's beautiful house with our 3yo and 8mo kids. Skye was amazingly accepting of our few requests to change our booking when various grandparents (my dad then both in-laws) decided to join us, and the personal phone call to check everything was ok was a lovely touch. The house is immaculate and very comfortable. There's no greater commendation I can give other than to say I wish we could have stayed 6 months - not just the week! We will absolutely be back again.
Skye was welcoming and helpful from first communication. Her cottage is equally so and is of an even higher standard than the photos show...definetly 5 star! It is situated at the top of the hill with besutiful views of the bay from the balcony . All rooms are spacious and well equipped with high quality furniture and decor. She even provided beautiful towelling dressing gowns to relax in with a glass of wine in the evening. A welcome bottle of wine was waiting for us on arrival. It's situation gave easy access to holbart cbd Salamanca market and shops all within walking distance. We would highly recommend this property and love to return there one day.
Thank you Skye so much for a wonderful stay in your really lovely homely cottage. From the moment I contacted Skye to the moment we opened the door was so easy and everything was the way it was portrayed. A perfect hideaway. Everywhere is in easy walking distance to Hobart city, salamanca markets, cafes and restaurants.
The cottage itself was so comfortable and everything was supplied...down to groceries in the pantry.....Would recommend this home to anyone who wants a personal stay instead of hotel accommodation......
We had a great stay at Skye's house over new year. It is a lovely place and perfectly located for access to the city. Skye's artwork make it very unique and much better than staying in a hotel. Skye was contactable and responsive and I would highly recommend her as a host.
Hobart Art House is a cheerful & comfortable space conveniently close to all Hobart attractions. We had pretty cool weather despite the time of year but the cottage was cosy & we found it to be a welcoming respite from the unseasonal chill.
The beds, linen, & towels are lovely quality & the kitchen & living spaces are all elegantly decorated & outfitted. We loved staying in a place with personality. largely expressed through Skye's colourful art, as opposed to staying in a bland hotel room.
We did find the traffic noise a little intrusive as Melville & Molle are through streets & the cottage's corner position meant it was quite noisy in peak hours.
Sky was friendly & attentive & made sure we were not wanting for anything & we thank her for her hospitality.
The hostess, Skye, went out of her way, on a very busy day , to help us.
The cottage was immaculate & supplied everything we could have needed & more.
We regret that we were only there for a few days, but will definitely stay here again if we get back to Hobart.
Hello! We love Hobart and all that it has to offer. My partner and I enjoy hosting people from around the world so you can enjoy the best of Tassie's great food, wine, art and nature. The house is self contained but we are happy to meet up and have a chat about everything thats going on in Hobart.
I've included everything to make a great landing pad and home away from home and have fitted out the house so you and your friends will have a comfortable and pleasurable stay.
