Charming and bright island home with large windows just a stone throw from the beach. Located close to the ferry pier, this 1 bedroom, newly renovated apartment is a perfect respite from a busy day in Hong Kong.
Spacious and bright sitting room/dining room, please note floor pillows are used instead of a couch!
The newly renovated apartment features huge windows that completely open up, making the living room and kitchen feel completely open-air. The kitchen is well equipped with all the cooking and baking utensils you may need.
The bedroom (the bed is very low, Japanese style tatami mat) is a cozy space, along with the adjacent bathroom. Large bay windows in each room allow for loads of sunlight and a perfect summer breeze to move through the house.
Please make yourself at home during your stay! Everything is yours to enjoy - from the books on the shelves to the cooking appliances and spices.
Interaction with Guests
Although I will not be present at the time of your visit, I am always here via email to answer any questions you may have. The apartment is equipped with guide books and maps for you to use, and then leave for the next guest to enjoy.
Lamma is said to be the antithesis of Hong Kong. A place for artists and writers, designers and creative people all around. It's a truly lovely getaway from a busy day sight seeing in Hong Kong.
Just down the street are boutique shops, organic grocers and local market stalls, which are a perfect place to pick up some groceries before heading back home to cook a tasty, fresh meal. Alternatively, there are many waterfront restaurants and beach-side bbq pits if you feel like staying out on the island.
The island (email hidden), with loads of trees, birds and wild life. The flat is about 5 minutes walk to the beach, with hiking and jogging trails just outside of the front door.
The Island is a very multicultural place with many expat living here. Restaurants of all different flavours - Thai, Indian, Chinese, Western and fusion - are all minutes walk from the flat.
The Yung Shue Wan Ferry will get you to and from HK in 20 minutes. The ferry drops you off at the Central Ferry Terminal, the main ferry terminal in Hong Kong, located just seconds from IFC and Central MTR.
Other Things to Note
Please note, there is no couch. There are two big floor pillows that can be used for lounging instead.
The bedroom has shading, but there is definitley morning light (and singing birds) good for early risers!
The bed is low to the ground.

Jessica's place in Lamma Island was exactly as posted. It was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. It was quiet, away from the busier parts of Lamma but easily walkable. We enjoyed our stay. The wifi and a/c and shower all worked and it was a great experience for us.
The apartment was lovely and in a great location just 5 mins from town. We didn't meet Jessica but all the instructions were clear. Would definitely recommend!
Jessica was a great host. Very helpful and friendly over email. We enjoy the das at her place. It was a relaxing and beautiful experience. Jessica's place is modern and full of light, in the evening cosy. It's furnished sleek and tasteful. And the location is very convenient.
very nice apartment of Jessica, chic and modern. Jessica is very friendly and helpful every time, although she is currently not in Larmma. good view of the mountain hill from the window, and good location, only 5 mins from the Yung Shue Wan Pier. very easy to go to Central every day. Very quiet and nice experience escaping from the daily busy living in the city. high recommend to every one who is going to Hongkong for holidays.
Jessica's apartment is amazing. We felt right at home even if it's, well, so different from our home... that's exactly what we loved.
We opened the large bay window the minute we entered, fresh air came in (really rare in Hong Kong) filled with bird songs. The view is beautiful on the mountain, nice trees and all.
The apartment has everything one needs to be comfortable for a few days (to cook, etc.). My partner and I stayed there for 6 days with our 4-months baby who enjoyed Lamma and the apartment as much as we did.
It's really nice to walk in the village, Yung Shue Wan. There are plenty of nice restaurants and small shops. The beach is a 15 minutes walk and there are a lot of fun hiking trails around on the island.
After a few days in HK Central, this stay made us so much good. Everyone is so nice in Lamma.
It was super easy to communicate with Jessica who appeared to be a really nice person, even if we didn't meet her directly. Thank you Jessica for helping us discover a different aspect of Hong Kong and for these 6 happy days we spent in your nice flat.
We had a great time here! Even though we never met the host or the on-island helper, the messages both beforehand and while we were there were very helpful. The place is very nice and clean, and we were able to make good use of the cooking facilities. Would highly recommend this place - especially for long stays!
This was one of the nicest Airbnbs I have ever stayed in. The location is amazing, quiet and surrounded by trees but just a one minute walk from the center of Yung Shue Wan.
We spend two nights here and I wished we spent the whole week. Lamma Island is beautiful, and this place is in the best central location for hikes north and south.
The kitchen is well stocked with tools and we cooked both nights. You can find anything you need in town, and we had such fun shopping at the little organic markets.
The apartment was an oasis in our busy Hong Kong trip. Clean, beautiful, airy, comfortable, easy, quiet, unique and charming - everything you want in an Airbnb. Please stay here!
I am a writer traveling the world and loving every minute of it. I am Canadian, but have this beautiful house in Hong Kong that I use as a place to reset after non-stop travel. Its a perfect home-office, or if you need it - a place to forget that you even have an office in the first place.
