Charming and bright island home with large windows just a stone throw from the beach. Located close to the ferry pier, this 1 bedroom, newly renovated apartment is a perfect respite from a busy day in Hong Kong. Includes weekly maid service.
Spacious and bright sitting room/dining room, please note floor pillows are used instead of a couch!
The newly renovated apartment features huge windows that completely open up, making the living room and kitchen feel completely open-air. The kitchen is well equipped with all the cooking and baking utensils you may need.
The bedroom (the bed is very low, Japanese style tatami mat) is a cozy space, along with the adjacent bathroom. Large bay windows in each room allow for loads of sunlight and a perfect summer breeze to move through the house.
Please make yourself at home during your stay! Everything is yours to enjoy - from the books on the shelves to the cooking appliances and spices.
Interaction with Guests
Although I will not be present at the time of your visit, I am always here via email to answer any questions you may have. The apartment is equipped with guide books and maps for you to use, and then leave for the next guest to enjoy.
Lamma is said to be the antithesis of Hong Kong. A place for artists and writers, designers and creative people all around. It's a truly lovely getaway from a busy day sight seeing in Hong Kong.
Just down the street are boutique shops, organic grocers and local market stalls, which are a perfect place to pick up some groceries before heading back home to cook a tasty, fresh meal. Alternatively, there are many waterfront restaurants and beach-side bbq pits if you feel like staying out on the island.
The island (email hidden), with loads of trees, birds and wild life. The flat is about 5 minutes walk to the beach, with hiking and jogging trails just outside of the front door.
The Island is a very multicultural place with many expat living here. Restaurants of all different flavours - Thai, Indian, Chinese, Western and fusion - are all minutes walk from the flat.
The Yung Shue Wan Ferry will get you to and from HK in 20 minutes. The ferry drops you off at the Central Ferry Terminal, the main ferry terminal in Hong Kong, located just seconds from IFC and Central MTR.
Other Things to Note
Please note, there is no couch. There are two big floor pillows that can be used for lounging instead.
The bedroom has shading, but there is definitley morning light (and singing birds) good for early risers!

This was one of the nicest Airbnbs I have ever stayed in. The location is amazing, quiet and surrounded by trees but just a one minute walk from the center of Yung Shue Wan.
We spend two nights here and I wished we spent the whole week. Lamma Island is beautiful, and this place is in the best central location for hikes north and south.
The kitchen is well stocked with tools and we cooked both nights. You can find anything you need in town, and we had such fun shopping at the little organic markets.
The apartment was an oasis in our busy Hong Kong trip. Clean, beautiful, airy, comfortable, easy, quiet, unique and charming - everything you want in an Airbnb. Please stay here!
I'd like to thank Jessica for a wonderful stay on Lamma, which in my opinion is the best place to stay when in Honk Kong. She goes out of her way to make her guests are well taken care of and was very responsive and accommodating (and forgiving - I accidentally switched one of her wall chargers for mine and brought it back to Geneva - sorry Jessica!). The flat is exactly as described - it's sparse but very airy and comfortable - and very welcoming with nice design touches. I would wholeheartedly recommend Jessica's flat fort a pleasant stay in Hong Kong.
Jessica was very helpful and took the time to answer all our questions, which was great. The information she sent before we arrived made us feel really comfortable about finding our way to her apartment.
The flat was a lovely place to stay, it exceeded expectations and the island was wonderful. We would definitely go back.
Thank you Jessica!
We had a very good time on the island. The different atmosphere from HK city let us feel Jessica's place as the perfect hide-away from the hustle and bustle of HK city, yet so close to it. The house is quite comfortable and welcoming. The location is very convenient for who likes a bit of hiking, site seeing and simply resting. Jessica had everything well organised and the house was impeccable.
Bright, beautiful and peaceful. Jessica's place was perfect for a getaway from the city. It was clean and equipped.
Great location. Very cozy flat. In real life even better, than on photos. Perfect weather in november. Wish, i could visit again next year. Thank you very much, Jessica.
I am a writer traveling the world and loving every minute of it. I am Canadian, but have this beautiful house in Hong Kong that I use as a place to reset after non-stop travel. Its a perfect home-office, or if you need it - a place to forget that you even have an office in the first place.
