Other things to note

Sound travels for miles in rural areas and in July and August the sound of village fetes and July 14th celebrations can intrude on the 'tranquillity' of our life here. We think of it as the sound of happy people and have learned to live with it.

Be prepared for being well guided and taken care of by Christine and Keith, two interesting, considerate and highly social people. On their property lush with plant life, peaceful, well tended and comfortable.

Highly recommend! A great place to stay if you are wanting to explore this beautiful region of France. The cottage itself was a great set-up. We stayed for 10'days, and cooked every night but plenty of options within 20 mins if you want to dine out. Keith and Christine were wonderful hosts - gave us lots of space but was lovely to sit and chat with them over a glass of wine as well. Us being Australian with little French it was really helpful to be able to ask them questions where /what /how about everything locally in English. Good internet kept us in touch. We were as busy or chilled as we wanted each day.

We had a wonderful stay. The gite had everything we needed, was of a high standard and Keith and Christine were excellent hosts. The pool is a good size and it's easy to walk to a shop/cafe and restaurant. Most ideal for a couple or friends travelling together.

The home is absolutely stunning, surrounded by beautiful gardens with a gorgeous pool. You are only a 5 minute walk into town past a calm and lovely lake. In town you can find a lovely cafe or two, very nice boulangerie and pattiserie. The surrounding countryside is amongst the most beautiful in France. Keith and Christine as hosts are kind, generous and welcoming, and we are happy to be able to call them our friends. They have excellent local knowledge too!! We had the most wonderful trip with them as our hosts and guides and wee would go back any day!

Delightful accommodation. An old country cottage feel to the decor. Modern appliances, very good mobile phone and internet coverage. French and English TV. Exceptionally clean. Cazals is a lovely village, with a couple of restaurants, petrol station, pharmacist and a few other local shops. Nestled around a pleasant lake. Keith and Christine are wonderful hosts, well worth spending some time with Keith and a map to locate places to visit. The honey/lemon and eucalyptus provided by Chistine, to help with my cold, was appreciated. Very friendly and interesting couple. Would stay again without question.

We are a retired couple who have lived in France 16 years. Christine is Australian, Keith is English. We love this area of France and enjoy sharing its many pleasures with others. We both speak passable french and have a good knowledge of the local area to help you make the most of your stay.
