A beautiful and lush secluded tropical oasis. Chris was a wonderful and knowledgeable host, sharing tips for really getting to know Belize as a cultural experience, not just a vacation.

We had an absolutely marvelous week here! Chris was a gracious and helpful host -- his knowledge of the area was sublime in helping us. We truly had a jungle adventure, in large part thanks to our host and his help. The fresh produce at the home was amazing, and the hand-delivered coconuts were incredible! I would recommend this stay for anyone who is looking to get "off the beaten path" or who is looking to avoid the tourist traps. The stay is close to Dangriga and Hopkins which are great beach offerings. I highly recommend staying here if you visit Belize!

If you're looking for an authentic Belizian experience, this is a great place to start. Worlds apart from the tourist haunts, nestled at the base of the hills, Chris and Peter (the gardener) welcome you into an intimate neighborhood. The little farm Chris has created is an endless source of wonder. I spent many happy hours sitting on the porch reading and watching birds, surrounded by beauty. The farm is in a good location for a home base when exploring other parts of Belize. I hope to return someday, and know I would feel at home.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The location is excellent -- just a short drive from Billy Barquedir National Park, with its cool swimming hole and waterfall and from La Casita de Amour, a lovely cafe. The house is well-designed and comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you could want. Best of all, Chris is an excellent host. We arrived late and he and his friends waited to greet us on the well-lit porch, because the house is a little hard to spot at night. Chris offered us some refreshments and showed us around. In the morning, he told us about the area and gave us his perspective on Mayan history (he has formerly worked as a mountain guide and an archaeological guide). He also helped us when our unreliable rental car wouldn't start, as well as when I sprained my ankle. Chris, we can't thank you enough for your hospitality and support!

Spent four days here and had a great time. Chris spent a lot of time showing us his farm and talking to us about activities to help plan our trip. The house was very clean and both Chris and the caretaker were responsive and extremely helpful.

Live like a local! This was our opportunity to experience a different side of Belize. This home is in a great location to explore inland. Chris' home is decorated with memories from his world travels, and you can really feel a sense of adventure in this place. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. Although our stay was only for a day, we were lucky enough to go on a jungle hike that ended in a beautiful waterfall. It was a great experience! We took the bus to Belize city the next day, and Chris was very helpful in giving us pointers. The drive through Hummingbird highway was beautiful! Chris has traveled around the world and he has a wealth of knowledge. He is truly creating his own little paradise on that property. Thank you, Chris! We hope to come back!

We are a well travelled Mexican/English family that enjoy nature and particularly tropical environments. We have worked in the tourism field for several years and enjoy archaeology, history and culture. We also take advantage of Tulum's small alternative scene and practice yoga, dance and cross fit.
