In our balcony you can have a breackfast or dinner, or read a book with the evening breeze.
Our apartment is upstair and we rent downstair a double bedroom with private bathroom and shower and a large living room with fireplace, where you see the ancient sign of the resident and you find a library with books of Chianti history. It's possible to have 1 single bed or 2 singles bed in the living room. (€ 15,00 a person).
The kitchen is in common with us where you can find it all you need to cook.
Volpaia is a small medieval village, where stay a bar-restaurant, a typical toscan restaurant and a wine farm.
The nearest town is Radda in Chianti, 7 km far of Volpaia. In Radda you find all you need: supermarket, gas station, chemistry and other shops.
Volpaia stay in the middle of Florence (40 km) and Siena (35 km), about 50 minutes by car.
In summer there are many tourists that visit the village from all over the world, but anyway it is a quiet and relaxed place.
You can go around Volpaia to walk or to bycicle, and see the beautiful landscape of Chianti.

  • We came here because of the positive comments and found it even better! The village is calm ad beautiful, the countryside as well. The rooms are so charming and comfortable, we stayed for three nights and had a fire in the fireplace. A&P are perfect hosts, so nice and interesting. They share their kitchen. One evening we had dinner and a chat together, really nice and friendly! It was the best experience of our vacation.

  • On our way to this absolutely charming place, we saw the most gorgeous sunset over the vineyards. We drove the back way and got to see the adorable little town looking down on it from the road above and it was breathtaking! Couldn't wait to see which of those adorable stone places was ours to enjoy! Then we started thinking we should stay for 2 nights, not just one! Our hosts were wonderful and met us at the door. Medieval dual staircase up to the arched big wooden doors, inside it's so full of medieval charm you've just got to see for yourself. From the foyer to the kitchen to our quarters, coziness and charm was everywhere you looked. We couldn't believe we had our own dining/living room, hall, bathroom and bedroom, our very own apartment as if we lived in a castle! No doubt you should stay here for more than one night! The cats are very friendly too! Wonderful place, wonderful hosts. Adorable town where you can see the wine making process from farm to table. A wonderful experience. Even cute little restaurants that are local grown, handmade. Do not miss this place!

  • Alessandra and Palmro were really kind with us. Their house in Volpaia is in the center of the village which is extraordinary. Volpaia is worth a stay, and we definitely recommend their house (in the former Castle of Volpaia) if you seek an experience in the core of a small village
