First and foremost: LOCATION!!! Amazing location. You definitely need a car if you're in LA, so from Venice you get the best experience possible. It's a short drive (30 mins or so) to most locations downtown or to the beaches (Santa Monica or Malibu). Great landscapes and weather.
The studio had a good size, centrally located (one street away from the sand and ocean front with all its cute stores and places to eat) and with good water heat/pressure. The neighborhood has a lot of hobos, so that was weird for us (but California in general has them). Regardless, the studio was very safe and walking around at late hours was normal. Our wifi connection didn't work up to our last night and that was a hassle, but Szilvi's husband hooked us up with their neighbor's connection. Other than that, it was clean (although it had dust and cobwebs) and the bed was very good. Also, the patio out back was a bit unkept so we decided not to go out there, but we did leave the curtains open during the day (again, this was a safe neighborhood). Parking should have been worse, but we actually never has to pay and it was easy to find a spot close by (never more than a street away).
I would recommend others to stay here (also to check out nearby diners and pubs, like James Beach), it's a very nice spot and amazing location :)
We enjoyed the little studio and it worked for us. We stayed longer than first planned! We never met our host but she was nice to lend us childrens toys. The place is close to the beach, and restaurants. It has toaster, fridge and you can cook, but it's not that great equipped. The bed worked out fine, it's a bit unstable.
This was my first AirB&B experience and it was fantastic. The place was adorable, it couldn't have been in a better location and Svilvi was a fantastic host. I literally contacted her an hour before I needed the place and she made it happen. I highly recommend this property and will try to stay here next time I am in the area.
Szilvi was great. Answered me quickly with any questions. Studio was was great. Not too small, clean and comfortable. Kitchenette very basic. One small sink shared for kitchen and bathroom and patio doors need to be re tracked but that didnt stop me from enjoying the beautiful weather on the patio. 20 seconds to the beach. perfect location. A couple of blocks from start of boardwalk. So it is right there but quiet. Yoga studio , deli , restaurants are in a few minutes walking. could not have asked for a better location. parking was mostly okay. Szilvi accomadated a later check out. I would recommend and would definitely stay there again.
Great location, literally a just a few steps away from the sand, and lots of bars and shops around the area. The studio is very nice but could use some work in the bathroom. Didn't get to meet Szilvi in person but she was very quick and helpful and nice enough to answer all of our questions. I'd certainly go back if I'm ever in L.A. again, and I can recommend the place if you want a relaxing vacation but do not plan on spending a lot of time inside the house.
Very helpful and friendly . Close to beach and all amenities yet quiet enough for relaxation. Thank you. What a great introduction to Venice-Marina
Szilvi's place was great, cosy, clean and in a great location. Check in and check out easy which was good as we arrived quite late. Szilvi was always quick to respond to any questions. Parking was also really easy. Would recommend to anyone for their stay in Venice Beach.
