(If I forget, ask me for it!)
Also there is a collection of books about LA for you to use, plus our own helpful suggestions regarding the city.
L.A. is an ENORMOUS city and with a car you will be able to do much more because it will twice as fast as a bus.
But, YES, L.A. has a bus system and there are buses on each of our corners. One bus will take you up to Hollywood. Another will take you to the beach and another will take you to downtown. So it is possible to travel by bus and see the city.
The nightly rate INCLUDES the 14% Los Angeles Hotel tax (Transient Occupancy Tax) which the city requires all guests in L.A to pay.
We send it to the city as required by law every month.

What a home and a host! I was desperate for a place to stay in LA for a night when other plans fell through, so I messaged Mic at something like 6:30 pm. She got back to me and said she could have the place ready. First off: incredible that this was possible, I was so grateful.
It got better, though, because I showed up to a wonderful host, a relaxing, homey home where everything had been thought of. The bed was incredibly cozy, the bathroom newly redone and really nice. After a stressful day, it was a relief - and totally affordable.
Mic made me feel completely at home, and everything was totally comfortable. There were other guests staying at the same time, so it really felt like a B&B, a crossroads of the world but in a quiet spot in LA. The location is amazing also...highly recommend.
Mic and Leeah were great hosts and made me feel like I was at home. Close to Miracle Mile and all of the major tourist attractions that LA has to offer.
This location is FABULOUS and Lee and Mic are fabulous hosts. This is my first air bnb experience and I admit my husband and I were nervous about spending vacation in someone's home but there just wasn't an option that would've compared to staying with these fabulous LA experts! They were able to tell us about free things to do in the city and the best things to do for cheaply. It was a joy and a blessing to spend a few days in this home that is close to everything and is quiet, comfortable, and just like staying with family. Also, Lee's breakfasts aren't finger foods, no, she makes eggs, whole grain bagels, and DELICIOUS coffee. I felt like I was being taken care of by a mama and I couldn't have felt more comfortable!!!
Mic and Leeah are very kind and amazing hosts.
The bedroom's very clean, cozy, cute and beautiful. Especialy, the bathroom looks fantastic.
She has such a good eye for interior design.
It's enough 4 people to sleep. We had very comfortable nights.
When we arrived at night, Leeah cooked the delicious pasta and she even did the laundry for us.
Breakfast which Mic made was also good.
The last night, we had a great time with Leeah and the other guest.
If I visit again L.A. I'd like to stay at this house.
Thank you Mic and Leeah.
This was my first experience in a private room with AirBnB and it was fantastic. I felt at home right away and Lee went the extra mile to make my short stay a good one. The house was beautiful and the large en suite room felt very private and comfortable. The bathroom seemed brand new and had everything I could need. The included breakfast was the perfect way to start the day. Great location too!!! Perfect if you have a car, it was very easy to park. I will definitely stay here again!
Mic and Lee were amazing hosts! The location was so easy to jet around from, and I really grew to love the Mid-Wilshire area. There are a ton of new places popping up that were fun to check out.
They were extremely friendly, open, and it's obvious how much they love to host! They are a wealth of info so if you're not familiar with LA, I can't imagine a better place to stay.
The room was large, comfy, clean and the bed was so SO comfortable I can't even describe it. The place was spotless and the bathroom was so fresh and clean.
I wasn't there much because I was frantically busy, but the hosts checked in with me and they had breakfast to share and their home was open and welcoming.
Would love to stay again, it was a perfect stay. Thanks guys!
My family is very fortunate to stay at Mic and Lee's house which is located in a safe, quiet and convenient district in LA. It is centric to those main sightseeing points in the city. And the most important is that the house owners are very kind and considerate as well as Black Jack ( Mic's dog) is very friendly and smart. They helped us park our car at the legal street side, cooked breakfast and did laundry for us. Black Jack even yapped to my room to draw my attenttion to open the front gate for my wife without key one mid-night. Lee helped me make a specific tour plan for understanding a real LA. Howerver I failed to persudae my teenage son to follow it because he insisted on visiting midway air craft carrier in San Diego harbour the last day. Of course I will surely keep the tour plan paper and wish to complete it when travelling in LA next time.
All what Mic and Lee have done made us feel living in our home. We are very appreciated for their consideration and assistance.
P.S. for Chines traveller
Mic and Lee have a beautiful home and the cutest dog in the world! We loved Blackjack! They were really great hosts. The room was very clean with a new, very pretty bathroom. The room is filled with sunny light with a great view of downtown from the window. Lee was very accommodating, cooked us some amazing eggs and gave us some suggestions for what to do around town. One of the nicest hosts Ive had. I highly recommend this location!
This is an ideal place to stay if you are visiting mid-city apartment dwellers as we were. Lee & Mic are wonderful hosts who offer just the right mix of privacy (bed & bath) and socialization (great conversations over breakfast.) They now top our list of places to stay while visiting family in LA.
