Once you have made your reservation I will send you an email of interesting things about LA and things you might want to check out.
(If I forget, ask me for it!)
Also there is a collection of books about LA for you to use, plus our own helpful suggestions regarding the city.
Check out the guidebook that is part of the listing.
L.A. is an ENORMOUS city and with a car, taxi or Uber, you will be able to do much more because it will be twice as fast as a bus. I think Uber or Lyft is the best way to get around - you don't have to worry about driving in a place you don't know, you don't have to worry about parking and it is NOT expensive!
However, YES, L.A. has a bus system and there are buses on each of our corners. With only 1 bus you can reach Hollywood, the beach and downtown. So yes, it is possible to travel by bus and see the city from our home.

*Please park in our driveway, not on the street; we have reserved it for you! Our neighbors don't like people walking on the streets with their suitcases.

We are in our 8th year of hosting guests and we love it. We enjoy traveling, cycling, music, theater, literature, dance, cooking, taking our doggies for walks at the beach and in the hills and much more!
We were born in Los Angeles and are happy to give you suggestions of how and where to go to get to know this enormous place.
We travel a lot so we know how important it is to have a clean, comfortable, safe & central place to stay - a home away from home.
Our daughter is also here to greet you. She studies and works so she isn't home very much. Our two little dogs will be very happy to meet you too.
