Private and modern studio apartment located on quiet street in up-and-coming Woodstock neighborhood - 3 blocks from restaurants, coffee shops and stores.

The Space

Completely private, clean, newer construction studio in detached mother-in-law unit in the up-and-coming Woodstock neighborhood. Bright and airy with vaulted ceilings, this beautiful unit has clean lines and decor. Access the unit through the driveway gate of our home - once you are up the stairs, you will find your own private space.

We are walking distance to Reed College, restaurants (Delta Cafe, Tom Yum Thai, Otto's Sausage, Laughing Planet), an exceptional ice cream shop, 24 hour grocery store, locally owned coffee shops, wine & deli, seasonal Sunday farmer's market, and easy bus line to downtown (about 30 min). The Springwater Trail and Trader Joe's are a hop, skip and a jump away. We have a small kitchen with mircowave (no oven or stove), hot pot for tea and coffee and full size fridge. Easy street parking out front. By car it takes about 20 minutes to get to the airport and 15 minutes to get downtown.

Queen size bed & comfy linens.

We have two wall heaters to keep you warm on rainy Portland days and a large box fan for summer nights.

Interaction with Guests

Feel free to come and go as you please - you can have complete privacy but we are available next door should you want to talk or have any questions about the neighborhood or the unit ...

The Neighborhood

We live within walking distance to some great eats including a few top notch food trucks (Delta Cafe, Cloud City Ice Cream, El Gallo and Yolk) Library is up the street as well as one of the most beautiful wooden furniture places ever (The Joinery). We have huge trees in the hood which provide nice shade in the summer. There is great walking around us including through the Eastmoreland district near Reed College. First cup coffee serves Stumptown, yum! Papacinos Cafe offers great coffee too and comfy places to sit and read the Oregonian or NY Times. We are slated to get a Grand Central Bakery up the street in the near future and a New Seasons next year as well as the famous, Dick's Kitchen. We love Woodstock. If you bring your bikes, there are safe and easy ways to get anywhere you want around the city. We are close to safeway and Bike Gallery.

  • This was such a peaceful, lovely place to stay in Portland. Zoey and Jeff are thoughtful, considerate hosts, making everything super easy for our arrival. The loft is simply decorated and well-appointed with everything you could need. There were sweet touches like a jar of flowers from their garden on the table, cold drinks in the fridge, apples on the counter...when my husband was curious where he could find the best happy hour deal on oysters in town, Zoey was super helpful and recommended a really great place. As many other airbnb'ers have noted, their dog Carrots is a highlight of the stay; he welcomed us home and saw us off most days, and is just a total sweetheart. Any dog lover will be a fan of Carrots. We would happily stay here again on another trip to Portland if Zoey and Jeff would have us back.

  • We loved staying here. It was very quiet and clean and had everything we would need from snacks to kitchen and bath supplies. The loft was nestled in the trees with a private entrance. Great neighborhood where you could easily walk to restaurants, stores, etc.

  • Zoey and Jeff were perfect hosts. The place was immaculately clean and even more than we dreamed of encountering. They give you great recommendations on where to dine and keep the room stocked with up to date literature on where to explore. The loft is gorgeous, modern and was absolutely perfect. Hope to return!

  • This was our second time staying with Zoey & Jeff, and it was equally as wonderful! Nice quiet place, friendly, super-accommodating yet unobtrusive hosts, cute pooch, a spacious and calming room, full-size frig. We'll be back.

  • Zoey was incredibly accommodating and allowed for us to arrive early and leave our bags so we were free to explore Portland. She was warm and welcoming and made wonderful personal suggestions for our stay.
The color of the loft was beautiful-- I loved the place so much, I'd like to replicate some of the color and furniture for my next apartment. We had a few snacks and breakfast available and made full use of the kitchen. We didn't spend much time in the loft, because we had so much exploring to do, but it was a comfortable and adorable place to sleep.

  • Had a great stay at the Loft. Zoey and Jeff are great folks, and enjoyed evenings of conversation with them both. They busy raising a family and a ambitious backyard garden - but made time to welcome me to the neighborhood and orient me to the best spots around. Super clean, well provisioned (even a couple of craft beers), completely private and bright spot to lay your head for a few nights. Highly recommend.

  • Zoey and Jeff were great! We stayed there for 3 nights - there was a boil water warning for Portland the day we arrived, and Zoey sent me a message earlier in the day to give us a heads up and to pick up water before we arrived. She also boiled some water and left drinks in the fridge for us - what a nice surprise! The place was clean and as advertised in the pictures. Would definitely stay here again.

  • I stayed for two nights in Zoey & Jeff's wonderful home from home. It was perfect in every way. And I loved how organized the little kitchen area is - gave me some ideas! The bed was wonderfully comfortable, the space is very bright, clean and well laid out. Only my 2nd AirBnB but my absolute favourite so far. Every last detail has been thought of, even special low lights that come on as you go up the stairs if you return in the dark. A great kettle for tea (and excellent tea bags!) All the information in the room (re local restaurants etc.) was very helpful. Loved the wonderful book art on the walls. Am sorry I didn't get to meet Zoey & Jeff, but I will definitely be back! Zoey & Jeff have a very special place indeed.

We love to bike Portland with our family, play basketball and frisbee, paint, draw and eat. Between the two of us we are rusty with German & Japanese (and familiar with Portuguese and Danish) and have both enjoyed traveling and living abroad. We have a big friendly dog named "Carrots".
