Great stay! Close to everything and the apartment is clean. Liz and Joesph are both great and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to NYC for a short stay.
Great hosts and comfortable bed. Slept like a log in the quiet conscious house. Joe and Liz are great!
This 2 week stay couldn't have been any better! Liz and Joeseph are fantastic hosts. Friendly, interesting and caring people. Their apartment is absolutely lovely, very comfortable, a large kitchen enabled me to cook whatever whenever. I was staying the the smaller room which was perfect for my budget, as they state it was a closet which they creatively made into a bedroom and my goodness what a good job they have done! It doesnt feel claustrophobic or anything like that, if anything super cosy, clean and homely. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and felt so comfortable chatting to Liz and Joe, asking for advice, and coming and going whenever with no problems at all. Thank You very very much guys!!
was really clean and comfortable place!
I stayed in Liz' house for 5 nights.
It was a lovely, warm and cozy place and everybody was really welcoming and nice! It was great to have a place like that in a foreign city, it was quite easy for me to feel like home there! Thanks Liz!

This apartment, two thumbs up. I felt like I was at home from the moment I walked in the door, it's close to the subway into Manhattan, right next to a nice park, and Bushwick is a great place to be. Liz is a super host -- welcoming, attentive, an interested listener, and a graceful helper in all varieties of strange/inconvenient situations that travelers may face. The room itself is small (it is indeed a converted closet), and could get warm, especially at night. That said, I actually found it pretty cozy, and the whole set-up is great for the price if you just need a place to sleep! I would for sure stay here again.
Liz was a brilliant host, she goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need. I felt relaxed and at home here.
Being August in NY, the little room gets really hot so only way to keep cool was to sleep with doors wide open & AC on in living room, think the room would be a bit nicer in winter..
Superb cosy room in a superb part of town. Especially good for the price, wonderful value. Would definitely recommend.
I've been for seven days here and I can confirm that what is written and pictures are true 100%. The apartment is spacious, cosy and clean in a nice neighborhood close to subway, the room is perfect for people that just want a place to sleep because as described this was a closet, so there is a small space where walking close to bed. I'm sure won't be a problem for who will spend most of spare time and the daytime seeing New York! Absolutely reccomended!
