You will need a car – you cannot walk to public transportation here in the hills. There are car services that are run similar to Airbnb that feature local people giving you a ride to your destination, in case you prefer not to rent a car. They are less expensive to use than taxi's. You can look up Lyft, Sidecar, and Uber on the internet. There are also taxi's of course, as well.
This bedroom has a queen mattress, a closet, a dresser, lots of natural light, and a fan. You will get a key for the lock on your door. A large bathroom is across the hall. This is a 3-bedroom house, with 2 bathrooms that are shared just like a regular home.
*I have several different rooms to choose from: This listing is for the room with the queen-sized bed. You can see the other rooms in this Bed & Breakfast if you click on my photo and then scroll down to the left side of the page.
The kitchen was custom designed by a Beverly Hills Chef; it is new and big. You are welcome to use the whole kitchen, to prepare some or all of your meals. Feel free to buy your own groceries and store them in the refrigerator. The ingredients for a fresh breakfast are INCLUDED in the price of your stay.

She is an amazing host! She is a life saver full of ideas and suggetions. I have stayed here a few times, as I was in between places. She made me feel at home with her welcoming and positive attiude.
Beisde the amazing views, nice sheets, locks on your door, that leave you to feel you can come and go as you please.
Bonus is Parking, plenty.. and no charge. Best airbnb place I have stayed at and would return anytime.
I really enjoyed staying her so much, that I extended my stay. One of the great things, that I didn't have to worry about that you normally have to is paying for parking. ex.Parking at hotels, really everywhere in Los Angles. Even in the city you have to pay the meters move the car at certain times of the day or on certain days of the week for street cleaning. I didnt have to worry about it as it is clean and safe and I had no problems to think about what time and day of the week it is. This made my stay less stressful and less expensive. In the past I have had host requests additional money for the parking permits.
I have been asked to bring my own toliet paper from a previous hosted experience. This was such a pleasant experience she makes sure you have everything you need and then some. I got to try other bath products, that were available to guests. She enquires what you like for breakfast. She is available without being intrusive. I even met other nice people during my stay, like Nadine. Awesome host.
She is so helpful with her knowledge, of Los Angeles. She was very inviting andso welcoming. I was able to wash clothes and have breakfact in the evening, instead of the typical time.
Better than a hotel stay as she has a deep and relaxing tub. Someone, I will stay another night with.
I highly recommend staying with Helen. Her place is immaculate, it is in an amazing location, and she is super helpful and friendly. The welcome basket with treats and water is a nice touch and she goes above and beyond with breakfast options, which included a variety of bagels and English muffins, eggs, bacon, OJ, coffee, and teas. She also has a wealth of knowledge to share for recommendations and activities in the area. While I had a short trip and didn't need to do laundry while I was there, it was good to have it as an option. Added bonus: she likes to decorate, so her place feels super home-y. She had fall decorations up, inspirational quotes in the bathroom to look at while getting ready, and she's a Brian Andreas fan.
I had a wonderful time at Helen's celebrating my 44th Birthday! the accomidations exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting that spcial bed and breakfast feeling! the location was wonderful and with the guidance of Helen's local knowledge I was able to take advantage of all the Locals Only kinda places. The room was comfy and had all the special hotel amenities you could think of, which made my stay even nicer. I ordered dinner from a Vegan Thai restaurant down the hill and the choices Helen had for breakfast were many and even lots of spciality snacks to enjoy.
The cottage was very homey and the views were great. Helen was very helpful with suggestions and directions as well as being fun to hang out with. I thoroughly enjoyed staying there.
The place is very clean and comfortable and offers very good views. Helen was very welcoming and we recommend to stay at her place.
Helen is an exceptional guest! She makes you feel so at home!! Her listing couldn't be in a better location. At the top of a canyon next to multi million dollar homes...you'll quickly find yourself living the life of the rich and famous. Her accommodations are far beyond average. One of my favorite moments there was eating breakfast and drinking coffee in her back porch overlooking LA!
She's very close to West Hollywood/Hollywood and very close to all the main attractions.
When I come back to LA I will always book with Helen. She's just fabulous!!!!!!
My friend and I were going to travel to L.A. to see if I would potentially like to move out there after I graduate from college. The whole Airbnb thing was new to me but I decided to try it out and Helen's cottage stuck out to me. Helen was incredibly helpful from the time we planed the trip until after we left. We arrived at 11:00 pm and she was there to greet us. In our room was a little snack basket and fresh towels. Helen was extremely helpful by answering all of our questions and giving us advice on what to do during the day. Helen has plenty of breakfast food there and a large assortment of tea and coffee which I thoroughly enjoyed. The cottage is beautiful and has the most amazing view. It truly felt like home and not a hotel where you feel like a tourist. Helen was extremely helpful with her suggestion to use a service called sidecar. Since I am not 25 I could not rent a car, so Helen suggested this iPhone app called Sidecar. Basically Airbnb but for cars. They will drive you around and it is SO MUCH CHEAPER than Taxis and we would have never found out about them if it wasn't for Helen. So be sure to take her advice, she knows what shes talking about!
Overall, I am so glad we stayed with Helen instead of at a hotel. She is wonderful, you get to meet so many different people, and you actually feel like a part of the city instead of a stranger in it. ALSO it is MUCH cheaper than any good, safe hotel in all of LA. I would rather give someone like Helen my money to stay and feel welcome and safe in her home, than give it to a hotel where I am just a another random guest to them. The Cottage has a very central location, it only takes 8-10 minutes to get to the Walk of fame by car. And everything else is not too far away either. And it always is great to wake up to the beauty of the hills in the morning. Definitely stay here if you can!! You will not regret it!
Helen was super friendly and really helpful with working out things for us to see while we were in LA. A nice relaxing stay. Thanks again.
