This room comfortably fits two and is located 3 short blocks from the subway, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, cafes and yoga studios.
Our neighborhood and building have been expertly curated with work by world class internationally renowned street artists. The entire neighborhood is a public outdoor art space.
See why Time Out New York voted our place as one of the top 10 coolest places to stay in New York!
Exposed wood beams and brick, fireplace, fantastic art, objects & roof deck. It almost doesn't seem like you’re in Brooklyn when you’re in our home. We currently have two bedrooms available in a three bedroom loft. One private bedroom with a brand new queen size bed. A shared bathroom and shower directly connected to the laundry room free for you to use. We also have a 6000 sq foot multi level roof with multiple seating areas and a gas/charcoal grill with smoker.
In the winter time enjoy sitting in front of our gorgeous mid century conical fireplace. Large kitchen with all the bells and whistles including a dishwasher. French press coffee maker. We always have plenty of gorgeous towels and linens as well as fresh soaps.
I hope you love staying in our home as much as we do!
Interaction with Guests
This is our primary residence so we are around a lot!
Hailed as one of the Top Ten spots to see street art and graffiti in NYC - East Williamsburg and Bushwick are raw creative neigborhoods brimming with energy. East Williamsburg & Bushwick are industrial neighborhoods that are at the center of a very exciting art scene - serving as hosts to acclaimed international street artists and are home to hundreds of murals.
We are located 3 short blocks from the L Train as well as several bus lines. I like the Q59 that goes right into Williamsburg proper.
Other Things to Note
Please read through this entire listing so that you understand our home and there are no surprises!
Please note that one of our studios and a bar are connected to our house. Studio mates typically start working between 10 am and 12 pm on weekdays and end around 6 pm. Sunday is very quiet. The bar is open until 4 am. If you are a very light sleeper I recommend ear plugs - certain nights you can hear faint music.
Please note that this is a shared bathroom. The bathroom needs to stay pretty open Mon - Friday 7:30 am - 8:30 am to allow our son plenty of time to get ready for school. In addition the bathroom is cleaned on a daily basis.
Chances are you will be sharing the house with another airbnb guests. Please be respectful of the other guests.

Chantal
Elissa and Jay were extremely accommodating and made our check in and check out a breeze. We took a redeye, so when we got in at 8am we immediately wanted to get back to bed, Elissa made sure we were checked in as soon as we arrived at her property.
On that note, the bed is one of the most comfortable I've slept in, the room is extremely well designed, and Elissa and Jay's cat, PP, was the friendliest cat I've ever met! The neighborhood has some great offerings including an incredible Banh Mi spot called Nam Nam, and a bagel shop that knocked my socks off named Bread Bros Bagels. It's also a fairly quick shot to Bedford Ave. and Williamsburg's main drag via the L. Manhattan was also a breeze via the L.
I had some conversations with Elissa and Jay, they are good people. You will not regret staying with them!
Gracias. Claudia Peraza.
Thank you for leaving this review. I apologize that you were confused by the airbnb model. As this is a private home and not a hotel we do not offer daily cleaning service of your room. The cleaning fee is for your arrival and departure. Perhaps in the future hotels are more your style. I can understand wanting to come back to a made bed! If you do choose to continue to use airbnb that may be a question that you bring up with your future host. Anyhow - it was a pleasure to host you and your friend and I apologize if you were dissapointed with my level of service.
Absolutely beautiful atmosphere of the whole house has its roots in personalities of its owners. We felt welcomed, very comfortable and home, everything was so easy and because we are artists too, what a pleasure to meet couple of artists whose work you really love. We would definitely want to go back to this artsy oases just for the fun meeting these interesting people again. Thank you!

About the Host, Elissa
My name is Elissa and I'm from Brooklyn NY. My husband Jay and I are enamelists and we travel the country exhibiting at museums and fine art and craft shows. We always mix in a lot of fun with our work. We love meeting new people, trying great food, and camping along the way.
I love being an airbnb host. It's actually one of the best things to ever happen to me. Almost everyone we host has turned into a friend. I think that's what I might like the most - friends that you don't know are your friends yet.
Jay and I are super polite and will make great guests and hosts. We are both non-smoking laid back people.
I love to collect american craft specifically but love all aspects of art, craft, design and architecture. When you stay at my house you will see how important craft and handmade things are to us. It's everywhere!
My favorite places to travel to are in Asia. I love Beijing. I seek out as authentic as possible asian food wherever we go. My husband Jay and I are very adventurous outdoors people. We camp 7 months out the year. We also have the most fab 9 year old son Cougar who inspires and delights us every second of the day. Doing things with him makes everything more fun.
