Exposed wood beams and brick, fireplace, fantastic art, objects & roof deck. It almost doesn't seem like you’re in Brooklyn when you’re in our home. We currently have two bedrooms available in a three bedroom loft. One private bedroom with a brand new queen size bed. A shared bathroom and shower directly connected to the laundry room free for you to use. We also have a 6000 sq foot multi level roof with multiple seating areas and a gas/charcoal grill with smoker.

In the winter time enjoy sitting in front of our gorgeous mid century conical fireplace. Large kitchen with all the bells and whistles including a dishwasher. French press coffee maker. We always have plenty of gorgeous towels and linens as well as fresh soaps.

I hope you love staying in our home as much as we do!

Interaction with Guests

This is our primary residence so we are around a lot! I work from home and our housekeeper is here almost daily. We would love it if our guests would come introduce themselves as we have a little boy in the house :)

The Neighborhood

Hailed as one of the Top Ten spots to see street art and graffiti in NYC - East Williamsburg and Bushwick are raw creative neigborhoods brimming with energy. East Williamsburg & Bushwick are industrial neighborhoods that are at the center of a very exciting art scene - serving as hosts to acclaimed international street artists and home to hundreds of murals. Schedule a tour with New York Like A Native: Tours of Brooklyn and Beyond

East Williamsburg is a diverse community , actively industrial with a booming artist and musician community. Great nightlife duck duck, Pine box Rock Shop, The Acheron, The Anchored Inn & Kings County to name a few.

Exciting Food Scene - Okonomi, Robertas, Montanas Trail House, Shinobi Ramen, Momo Sushi, Dunwell Doughnuts

Fun shopping especially if you like big warehouse style thrift stores such as Urban Jungle. Lots of Indie shops too like Mary Meyer and Dolly Gs.

This is a very safe neighborhood with a loads of people walking around day and night. Businesses open 24/7 and in general people and neighbors looking out for one another.

Getting Around

We are located 3 short blocks from the L Train as well as several bus lines. I like the Q59 that goes right into Williamsburg proper.

Other Things to Note

Please read through this entire listing so that you understand our home and there are no surprises!

Please note that one of our studios and a bar are connected to our house. Studio mates typically start working between 10 am and 12 pm on weekdays and end around 6 pm. Sunday is very quiet. The bar is open until 4 am. If you are a very light sleeper I recommend ear plugs - certain nights you can hear faint music.

Please note that this is a shared bathroom. The bathroom needs to stay pretty open Mon - Friday 6:30 am - 8:30 am to allow our son plenty of time to get ready for school. In addition the bathroom is cleaned on a daily basis.

Chances are you will be sharing the house with another airbnb guests. Please be respectful of the other guests.

The New York Times Weekend Edition
New York Magazine
The New Yorker

All bedding is 100% cotton and the comforters and pillows are hypo allergenic.

We use unscented organic vegetable based laundry detergent. If you know that you are allergic to vegetable based detergent please let me know and we will use something else.

We have one cat named pp (perfect pretty) she’s around 14ish. She’s a very low maintenance outdoor cat. She basically comes and goes at her leisure.

My name is Elissa and I'm from Brooklyn NY. My husband Jay and I are enamelists and we travel the country exhibiting at museums and fine art and craft shows. We always mix in a lot of fun with our work. We love meeting new people, trying great food, and camping along the way.

I love being an airbnb host. It's actually one of the best things to ever happen to me. Almost everyone we host has turned into a friend. I think that's what I might like the most - friends that you don't know are your friends yet.

Jay and I are super polite and will make great guests and hosts. We are both non-smoking laid back people.

I love to collect american craft specifically but love all aspects of art, craft, design and architecture. When you stay at my house you will see how important craft and handmade things are to us. It's everywhere!

My favorite places to travel to are in Asia. I love Beijing. I seek out as authentic as possible asian food wherever we go. My husband Jay and I are very adventurous outdoors people. We camp 7 months out the year. We also have the most fab 11 year old son Cougar who inspires and delights us every second of the day. Doing things with him makes everything more fun.
