  • My stay at Amy's was all around great. She was so helpful and kind, and she answered texts very quickly. The location of the apartment could not be more beautiful. Just 2 blocks from Jewel Osco, and steps away from the lake. Even though I was there during the brutal winter, I did get a chance to walk around quite a bit and all I can say is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. The apartment had everything I needed and the front desk staff was terrific. I can't wait to stay at Amy's again!

  • Amy was an awesome host! Unfortunately, we never got the chance to meet her. Amy always replied to us very quickly and was able to get the place ready for our visit quickly.

The place was the perfect place for our travels. It was very close to subway stop and was in a relatively quiet neighbourhood which allowed us to rest in the morning after our late night adventures. The conceirge downstairs were very friendly and were also excellent in their jobs. We felt very safe in the condo during our stay there.

  • Our stay at the Gold Coast condo was great. Terrific location, close to the subway (which was very convenient to get to the marathon start) and the condo had all the amenities we needed. Looking forward to our next visit to Chicago!

  • This apartment is in a great location and the pictures show the place perfectly. Amy was a GREAT host and made our stay super easy. From the moment we booked until we left the apartment, Amy was super communicative and clear about everything we needed to do.

In terms of location - it can't be beat! Walking distance to tons restaurants, stores, bus lines and trains. However, if you need a cab, it's less than $10 to downtown, but honestly the train is way faster.

All in all, we had a wonderful stay. Next time we're in Chicago we will definitely try to stay in this place again!

  • We had a wonderful 3 week stay at Amy's gold coast Condo. The location is absolutely fantastic, and the apartment offered us all the conveniences of a home away from home during our visit.
Amy is a great host, and was very helpful with advice, prior to our first time visit to Chicago. We would definitely stay again.

  • Amy's place is well located and was also quiet as the apartment is on the courtyard side. We never met her but she had made arrangements with the doorman so we were able to get in no problem. The kitchen is small but adequate, though I think that Amy could update a few things - for example the frying pan and a good cutting board (not made of glass) would be an asset. All in all a good experience.

I am married to a wonderful mate. We have a curious and happy 3 yr old AND a delightful newborn (Dec of 2013)... and live in the suburb called Brookfield about 18 miles away. My condo still is very much an extension of myself since I have decor I've collected from all around the world-- Ghana, West Africa, South Africa, Brazil, U.A.E., Thailand, as well as many artist friends' works. I've loved sharing space at other B&B's and backpacker lodges around the world and hope that my space joins the system! If you are driving or expect to need parking, there are a few options. 1) Neighborhood daily passes- $1 a day; 2) Garage in basement- $12 daily with prepaid stickers; 3) Metered, hourly street parking- $4-6 per hour depending on location; 4) Free spaces during certain times of day on LaSalle Street when not snowing or rush hours. I request payment for option 1 & 2 via cash or Pay pal at the end of your stay since you may not know what you'll need or use until the end. I'd be happy to explain these options or weigh them with you depending on circumstances. Typically, I would recommend utilizing public transport and walking while in my neighborhood. There are also DIVY rental bikes outside my building for easy get-up-and-go needs! And if need be, a few Zip Cars are parked nearby for more distant day trips. Old Town is a dynamic and walkable neighborhood within a block away. Not to mention 3 blocks to Lake Michigan...and VERY accessible to downtown. About a 30 minute walk OR 10-15 minute commute depending on where you are headed, via bus or "EL." The CTA's website is handy to plan your travels. Happy to help and host!
