This "Jr One Bedroom" space is about 500 Sq Feet. The bedroom (double size bed) is separated from the living room via a wall partition (w/out door) to allow for an abundance of light from the wall of windows overlooking the private terrace.
Ideal location just 10 minutes commute to Downtown, 12 blocks from Michigan Ave, 3 blocks from the Lake and Lincoln Park, and an abundance of bus and train lines within steps of the front door. Neighborhood and chain restaurants, bars, markets all within a few blocks too!
Doorman present. Laundry in basement, and dry cleaners on premise. Parking options available.
This apartment is in an outstanding location for seeing the city. It's comfortable and clean, no frills. The doormen of the building were friendly and knew us within a day of arriving (impressive in a big condo building). We never met Amy but our check in and check out went smoothly.
The listing description was very accurate. I absolutely loved the place. It was perfect for my weekend in the city. I was able to cook, relax, and hangout comfortably. It was super clean too. I felt very comfortable using the dishes, the bathroom, and sleeping in the bed. The location was perfect to everything in the city. The trains were about a 5 minute walk and there were plenty of cabs around too. I would definitely stay here again in a heart beat. Amy was an awesome host! She responded to all my questions within minutes. She was very friendly and thorough in her instructions. Thanks so much, Amy, for helping to make my weekend in Chicago so memorable!
The apartment, the building and the location are really amazing! There are a lot of public transport next to apartment, we easily go to airport by subway. And there are a lot of good restaurants and greats shops around! Really recommend!
The location was perfect. It's a quiet neighborhood with some nice restaurants close by. Easy to get to the subway. We did decide to use the parking garage for the weekend. We were unaware that parking is on a "first come, first serve" basis, so had to scramble to figure out where to park our car the first night we were there. Luckily parking became available the next morning. The doormen were very friendly and helpful.

I am married to a wonderful mate. We have a curious and happy 3 yr old AND a delightful newborn (Dec of 2013)... and live in the suburb called Brookfield about 18 miles away.
My condo still is very much an extension of myself since I have decor I've collected from all around the world-- Ghana, West Africa, South Africa, Brazil, U.A.E., Thailand, as well as many artist friends' works.
I've loved sharing space at other B&B's and backpacker lodges around the world and hope that my space joins the system!
If you are driving or expect to need parking, there are a few options. 1) Neighborhood daily passes- $1 a day; 2) Garage in basement- $12 daily with prepaid stickers; 3) Metered, hourly street parking- $4-6 per hour depending on location; 4) Free spaces during certain times of day on LaSalle Street when not snowing or rush hours. I request payment for option 1 & 2 via cash or Pay pal at the end of your stay since you may not know what you'll need or use until the end. I'd be happy to explain these options or weigh them with you depending on circumstances.
Typically, I would recommend utilizing public transport and walking while in my neighborhood. There are also DIVY rental bikes outside my building for easy get-up-and-go needs! And if need be, a few Zip Cars are parked nearby for more distant day trips.
Old Town is a dynamic and walkable neighborhood within a block away. Not to mention 3 blocks to Lake Michigan...and VERY accessible to downtown. About a 30 minute walk OR 10-15 minute commute depending on where you are headed, via bus or "EL." The CTA's website is handy to plan your travels.
