About this listing
Duboce Triangle is a peaceful little neighboring community of The Castro. This room is located within one block of the Church Street MUNI station and accessible to almost all MUNI lines. Centrally located, we are only one block from Duboce Park, Two blocks from Castro, ten minutes from Downtown and provide many nightlife and day time activities for the San Francisco Visitor. Take the F line straight to Fisherman's Wharf and the Ferry Building or the 22 MUNI to Ghirardelli Square or The Fillmore (music Venue in Jazz District). There is always something exciting to see in San Francisco!
The room is in a quiet residential street set back from the bustle of The Castro. The Bay window provides lots of sun (don't worry- there are blinds too!) It features hardwood floors, a memory foam Queen sized bed, organic cotton sheets and free access to WiFi (just ask). This is a city, so street noise is possible. If you're a light sleeper, please check out my other listings in same flat, which faces away from the street.
You're welcome to use the large, modern kitchen and supplies and the extra half bath makes mornings a breeze. It's a great place to call home while you stay, and a quick trip to anywhere in SF!
With nearly every bus line running through the Church Street MUNI, you can get everywhere you want to go in minutes. Downtown and SoMa are a ten minute bus ride, the Marina is 15-20 and Hayes Valley takes but a few minutes on the wonderful F Line Trolley!
But why leave the neighborhood at all!? A short walk gets you to bakeries, restaurant, clubs and bars- you have your pick in this neighborhood. I'm happy to suggest my favorites if interested, let me know!
I have plenty of maps and suggestions for activities that are outside the normal tourist box if you are interested. I've lived in SF for 8 years and there are always new and exciting things to do!
Nespresso Machine stocked in kitchen for all!
Interaction with Guests
I work from home so I am generally available to chit chat and make recommendations on places to see, eat and how to get there by MUNI or other modes of transportation.
The Church Street MUNI station is one block away and connects you to every MUNI line that runs through San Francisco.
We have Lyft, Uber and ZipCar as well as taxis, if you prefer and there are Ferries to get you to the East Bay or up to Marin just a few stops away on MUNI.
No outside guests past 10pm
Smoking outside only
If you use a dish, you need to wash, dry and put it away
Ambere was a very friendly and helpful host. We had a very good communication concerning our arrival and she gave us many useful information. The two of us, stayed for 8 days and all of them ran smoothly. The bedroom and the common spaces were clean and the decoration was great. We found useful that the facilities included a desk, a wardrobe, a Nepresso coffee machine, filtered water, soap and shampoo and we also used the fridge. The good thing is, that the bathroom is in a separate room than the toilet, which gives additional flexibility; but anyway both rooms were always available when we needed them.
The neighborhood is great and in a walkable area of the popular areas of Mission and Castro. I would definitely recommend you choose this place for your stay!
Our stay at Ambere's place was perfect. She accommodated a special request for which we are very grateful. We enjoyed having breakfast every morning at the nearby Duboce Cafe and walking up to the "painted ladies" not far away. The neighborhood is quaint and coffee houses and restaurants are abundant. The Castro is a short walk and the Muni metro station is a mere block away, which made it easy for us to get to Ambere's from the airport using public transportation. Downtown and GG Park are easily accessible on the Metro. Ambere's place is very San Francisco and the experience has you feeling like you visited a friend in the City with a comfy bed and great shower with plenty of hot water (but keep it short and steamy, we're having a severe drought in CA).
Ambere was such a sweetheart. She was very informative about great restaurants, so accommodating & is overall a great person. The home was near everything & the home itself was perfect. The room spectacular. I would highly recommend anyone coming to SF and especially to the Castro area to consider staying with Ambere. She will not disappoint.
I stayed with Ambere for 4 days during the last week of July. Ambere was traveling during my stay but she ensured that I had a smooth and peaceful stay. She sent me clear instructions on how to get there and inside the house. Even though she was not there in person, she was always available in case I had any queries. She gave me multiple pointers on where to eat and shop and this was very helpful since this was my first time in San Francisco.
The apartment is walking distance from the Muni and Bart stations and you can get to downtown in 10-15 minutes.
Also the neighbourhood itself is great and there are many restaurants within walking distance which was an added plus for the foodie in me.
The room faces the street which is clearly mentioned in the listing and gets a little noisy at times. In case you are a light sleeper, please check for the other listing in the same apartment .
Even though there was another guest staying in the other room, I hardly knew that he was there.
Overall it was a good experience and thanks to Ambere and her friend for making my first Airbnb experience a memorable one.
This was my second time staying at Ambere's place and it was pleasant, easy process and peaceful. Thank you for the great experience.
We had a wonderful stay in Ambere's bay window room and in San Francisco altogether. Ambere proved an excellent host, and we appreciated that she was available for questions etc while at the same time letting us have our privacy. There was work on the outside of the building during our stay, but she kept us well informed about it, and we were mostly not in our room during the day anyway - so that did not constitute much of a problem. The area of Duboce Triangle was extremely conveniently located, and we could walk pretty much everywhere; in addition to the area itself being nice, with quiet, residential streets and lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay here again, given the chance.
Thanks for everything, Ambere!
