Enjoy this boutique one-bedroom apartment with stunning sea-views located in the history-steeped town of Senglea within walking distance to Birgu and 3 (but intense) minutes ferry to Valletta. The apartment has a variety of original Maltese features and provides an authentic experience.
In the hart of the historic Malta, set right at the magnificent waterfront of the oldest of the Three cities (founded by the Knights in 1552), this apartment offers stunning views, authentic historical setting for the sophisticated traveler and all the modern conveniences at a knock-down price! Among the latter we count convenient ferry, bus and water taxi transport links to Valletta and beyond, exquisite restaurant and bar outlets just across the creek, plus the numerous local establishments at hand.
The apartment is furnished with a tasteful emphasis on the original Maltese features now rapidly disappearing throughout the island's noisier and busier tourist areas. These features include traditional patterned tiles (to keep the weary traveler's feet cool in the heat), traditional Maltese balcony insightfully converted into a dining room with breath-taking views of the Grand harbour and the cities of Valletta and Vittoriosa (beautiful settings should finally be counted as the necessary condition for healthy eating and living!). Old wooden beams adorn the aristocratic high ceilings, adding a touch of nostalgic grandeur.
All this combines to offer an unbeatable travel experience which breaks radically with the standardized mass hotel packages of today's tourist industry. Come and explore a little-known Maltese locality which offers a glimpse into the authentic Maltese life-style; a locality that is distant, yet close enough to the more established sites. The ferry connection to Valletta(4min) across the Grand Harbour is second to no other type of transportation (sometimes the truth of the old worn-out proverb that the journey is more important than the destination holds unconditionally but if you insist on renting a car, there is plenty of parking space also).
The apartment comprises a bedroom with a double niche bed, a spacious and elegantly vintage-furnished living room (with a sofa-bed), a dining area, a fully equipped kitchenette (for those who are tired of eating out and want to experiment with local fresh produce at home) and a bathroom (needless to say, also with sea views!).
It's a very lovely appartement with a marvelous view on the Dockyard creek in the Valetta bay .
It was very amusing to take the little yellow ferry to go to Valetta.
It was alos very easy to park the car just near the house.
A very good adress..
For me it was the perfect place for spending a holyday in Malta. Beautiful and cosy apartment, great view and easy starting point to get around on the island. Very nice, calm neighbourhood, some simple but good restaurants around. All together highly recommended!
A superb choice for everyone willing to visit Three Cities and Valletta, to enjoy truly great views while having breakfast, to live in a traditional house with a modern touch and to have a guarantee of a free parking lot right at the spot. The apartment has all basic facilities and is easily found. Alberto was really helpful with suggestions and extra information about moving around. We even were suggested a heater cause mid January was not so hot (though lovely) on the island. I'd definitely chose the place if back to Malta. Thanks Alberto!
Just perfect working holidays. Divine location for people like us who need to work on our computers : it is wonderful to do so on the little balcony-like space overlooking the water. We liked the quiet, laid back atmosphere of provincial places, the simple and most pleasant flat. Enjoyed to wake up every day with the magnificent view, the calm, the local life of Isla and Victoriosa across the water, the little cafes next door, the vaporetto every morning to go to the 'capital', Valetta, with its own charms. And that, of course, is just the beginning. Thanks, grazie molto, Alberto.
Nice to be located away from the hustle and bustle of Valetta. Very easy to get to Valletta via the ferry. Allow about a 7 minute casual walk. We had young child and tried to run on most occasions and kept missing the ferry. A good idea is to look out the window and watch the ferry go by and then leave the house.
Superb view and nice to do breakfast in the morning overlooking the fort. Grocery shops and restaurants are a plenty. We hired a car for one of the days and there was plenty of parking.
The locals are very friendly!!
The residence is eclectic and will not disappoint. The residence was very clean and loved walking up the cobbled steps to the main entry. The entry has some super images of Malta taken by the host. A very artistic host!!
The host is very nice as well as approachable and always available.
We requested a heater as it was a tad cold for us.
Kitchen is well equipped. Bathroom is really cute and off the kitchen. The decor and furniture are very arty!!
Great value for money and we would definitely stay there again if we visited the shores of Malta.
My stay at Alberto s house was fantastic. Everything you see on the pictures is true. The apartment is very characteristic and the view amazing. I felt directly at home. Alberto is a very nice host and nice company too! Would definitely stay here if i ever return to Malta again.
Alberto's apartment is located in the typical maltese neighbourhood of Senglea (Isla), which makes it a great hide-away from the busy tourist areas while still being very close to Valleta, Birgu and the Airport. We especially enjoyed the quiet surrounding area, fabulous harbour view and easy access (bus, boat, car - good parking too). Alberto was easy to communicate with and he gave us some advise on the area. Overall very pleasant experience.
