A single and double room available most of the year
We are letting two rooms in our house, one single the other double. There is large bathroom used by the whole house. The house is on 4 storeys and the kitchen opens onto the garden.
We are a vegetarian household and some of our food comes from our garden and our hens. We can supply breakfast and/or packed lunches - just ask.
We are on the south side of the river, just off Bridge Road The Ironbridge is 5 minutes down the hill (10 mins back up!).
We are actually in Broseley Wood, the pipe museum is 200 yards away and Broseley also has a very good greengrocers (Downes) and and a fresh bread shop (Kathryn's). There is also the highly acclaimed King and Thai resturaunt. The Broseley Wood Jitties are literally on our door step and we have great walks over to Benthall Hall (30mins) and onto the Jack Mytton way.
Iron Bridge is famous for the Blists Hill Museums. It is also possible to hire a Canadian canoe to access the river and to cycle all along the railway track to Bridgnorth.
There are buses from Broseley village to Telford and Bridgnorth and from Ironbridge to Shreswbury as well.
Use of kitchen and we have a two living rooms so its possible to have relaxing area away from bedroom by arrangement
We often eat with our guests but its not a requirement. We are vegetarian household and often there is enough food for more than just us.
Communication was brilliant! A very pleasant and comfortable stay. Thank you, Lenny
Charming property and Lenny and Marianne are wonderful hosts. Would not hesitate to go back when next in the area. Thank you
Perfect one-night stay near Ironbridge Gorge. Nice quiet location. Lenny & Marianne were very hospitable hosts. See you next year!
Lenny and Marianne could not have been kinder! Lovely hosts and lovely house! Comfortable bed! Delicious breakfast! What more could anyone ask? Would throughly recommend!
A wonderful old house set amongst others and reached via a small lane and with spacious, traditionally furnished and comfortable rooms with nice views of the countryside, Lenny and his partner were very welcoming and with good information about the local restaurants and pubs - as well as excellent coffee and conversation. There is limited, but sufficient, parking near the house. The walk down to the famous bridge is perhaps longer than 5 minutes, and I doubt I would have made it back up the hill if I were to have sampled local beer in Ironbridge village. I stayed for just one night on my way to south Wales, but must return to enjoy more of the locality as this is a gorgeous part of the country with much to see - and would certainly stay with Lenny again for more time in this beautiful county.
This is a truly great place to stay. We found the house enchanting, the beds super comfortable. We did not get to meet Marianne and Lenny but we felt very happy to be in their home. The house could not be in a better location, we parked the car upon arrival and from then on could walk around the area and use the shuttle bus for the museums. This is such a beautiful and interesting area. Highly recommended.
