LOCATION. The apartment is located at the heart of the historic Eixample district. It has excellent transport links: just 4 blocks to the Aerobus stop and a direct bus line (no. 64) to the Barceloneta beach. All major sights are within a walking distance: 5 blocks to Gaudi’s Casa Battlo on the Passeig de Gracia or 5 blocks in the opposite direction to the Plaza Catalunia and La Rambla.
Late-night party people will appreciate the close proximity of many bars (La Chapelle and Dietrich are one block down), cool terraces (two blocks to the Axel Hotel) and fashionable restaurants (Cinc Sentits and Cram are in the next block).
AMENITIES. The apartment is on the third (last) floor of a period building without elevator. The studio has just been renovated by a local designer and is sparkling new. It has an unusual triangular shape and feels airy and light thanks to the original Catalan high ceilings with exposed wooden beams.
The apartment is fully air-conditioned. It also has sound-proof windows and electric roller shutters for perfect sound and light insulation and undisturbed sleep.
The kitchen has a small fridge, an induction cook-top, a microwave and a coffee machine with a supply of capsules.
There is a washing machine in the bathroom and a drying rack outside the bathroom window.
A docking station can be used with your iPhone or any other type of smartphone with an auxilliary cable. Wi-fi connection is available in the entire apartment.

Sergio was an extraordinary host. Extremely friendly and attentive with us since our arrival. I strongly recommend him and the studio that we stayed in for six days. It is true to the pictures shown on the website : a brand new and clean studio.
As soon as we arrived in Barcelona, I tried to charge my iPhone with my universal charger unaware that the electric system is different from Brazil. In result, once plugged in it caused a blackout therefore I called Sergio to help me solve this. He was very nice with us and focused on how he could solve the problem. For our luck, no damaged was caused and it was very simple to fix.
The flat is well located (just four blocks to Passeig de Gràcia and a couple more to Casa Battlò/Plaza Catalunya/El Corte Inglès/La Rambla) and it is near to four metro stations (about 10 minutes walk). There are also many markets around this region, as well as great restaurants and 'bares de tapas'. It is located in a residential area nevertheless close to the commercial areas. Inside, you are going to find everything you need. It is well equipped.
The flat is as classy and new as Sergio described it to me. Sergio was extremely friendly and it was so kind of him to help us with the luggage (there is no elevator). I guess we were the first persons to stay there after the renovation. It is not big - more like a large studio - but the design is both stylish and professional. What we liked most were the remote-controlled curtains that effectively shut off light and street noise and the hotel-style air conditioning that was really quiet. It was also a nice touch to provide a Nespesso machine and a stash of capsules. We also went out to the terrace above the flat to drink a bottle of cava before dinner and it was so great! Although the terrace is not private and belongs to the entire house - which unfortunately meant that we had to take our chairs from the flat and then bring them back - it is large and has a view onto a typical Barcelona thoroughfare.
