A great choice for you if you are looking for a quite place to spend your time in Athens. Ideal for students or researchers, it is located in the university core area, nearby conference's spots. Equipped with almost everything you'll need!
Live your urban myth in downtown Αthens apartment! This is a great chance to have a real taste of Athenian living! A cozy and quiet flat for 1-up to 3 people, whose location makes it a relaxing place away from the madness of the capital.
This is a downtown 55 m squared flat. It has a living room with a double bed sofa, a bedroom with a double bed, a separate kitchen and a bathroom. There are also two small terraces with totally urban view, but there is enough space to have your coffee/drink with nice atmosphere. Don't expect to find a luxury apartment but do expect to find a warm and comfortable place, quiet with everything you need for your stay.
Equipment: Fridge, oven, AC in the bedroom and various kitchen and bathroom stuff (e.g. microwave, toaster, hairdryer). There is also a washing machine and iron. You will also find a TV , WiFi internet connection and there are also speakers you can use if you feel like connecting your laptop and watching a movie or just listening to the music. Linen and towels can be provided.
The Neighborhood: The apartment is located at "Goudi" area which officially belongs to Zografou greater region, only 15-20 min by car from the city center (Syntagma Square or Omonoia) and all the hot spots you would like to visit during your stay. There are plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants supermarkets around here and of course the charming St Thomas central square. The flat is very sunny and has a view to the interior patio, but exactly for this same reason it is very quiet.
Transportation/Access: There are 4 bus lines on the corner of the street that can take you to Acropolis, the modern city center or even to the sea!! Additionally, there are 2 metro stations (Ampelokipoi and Megaro Mousikis) quite close. Last but not least, the area is well connected with the airport public transports (metro & bus).
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me! Spoken languages: english, spanish and french (with a little help..!). Whatever your choice, I wish you have the very best of times in this city!
Full access to all amenities and areas of the flat that are indicated by the host.
Interaction with Guests
I will make your check in and check out unless I am away on an exotic journey (dreams out of charge!...hehe ). Of course if you wish I could provide you with some good advise for the city or night life and we could have a coffee/drink if our interests are relative or if I have spare time during your stay!
This neighborhood has a central square, where you can find from traditional greek food to "meze", "tsipouro" or "ouzo" at relatively low prices comparing to the touristic bars and restaurants of the center. Young people use to hang out here (the university campus is very near), so if you feel like going out but not mess with the center, you will have some interesting choices. Ask me for details!
There are plenty of public transport choices, and even the taxi hot spot at the corner!
Parking is not included but you could find a parking-paying station nearby.
There is an airport bus stop nearby as well as AMPELOKIPOI metro station from where you could take the tube directly to the airport.
Getting rid of the garbage on a daily basis will only make your life nicer and less smelly! Heat in Athens during summer can make miracles with garbage left for a couple of days..so this rule will only make your life better during your stay.
Be sure to have switched off the boiler heating before you have a shower. It only takes 10-15 min to warm (website hidden) general, please be sure to have turned off all electric devices when leaving house. It's mostly for your own safety.
Please DO NOT THROW PAPER or anything else IN THE TOILET! You will see this message in most of the "places" you visit in Greece. This isn't a vice, it's about the sewer system that cannot afford this amount of toilet paper..!
Pets are not allowed in general.
Smoking is allowed but please be sure to do it -if not outside, with the windows opened...And let the air get in thoroughly!
Although there is a cleaning fee, I will expect to find the apartment in human conditions at the check out. Please get rid of the garbage and wash any dishes used during your stay!
We had a lovely stay in Athens last weekend and Katerina's appartment was perfect.
Just as it says on the announce, it is very quite and in a nice building. A couple of minutes away is a very nice square with loads of coffee shops and supermarket , everything you could need is within a few minutes walk.
The appartment is fully equipped and everything works.
It was great to meet Katerina who was very friendly and flexible (our flight had 1 hour late).
thanks for a great stay and I'm sure we'll be back
Great Apartment! Close to good restaurants and bars, quite neighborhood, It has everything that you need for a short or long stay in Athens. Everything was perfect!! The Apartment is very pretty and modern. Katerina is a delightful host, very helpful and accommodating! The communication was fast and very friendly! Highly recommended!
My boyfriend and I went to Athens Greece for a week, we were VERY glad that we booked with Katerina. She made us feel very welcomed, and gave us a complete tour of the house which includes a very neat, organized, clean and homey living room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. She has all the amenities you ever need as though it is your own house, such as wireless internet, dishes, towels, etc, complete with washer and a nifty little dryer in the balcony (aka, hanging my clothes to dry on the clothes line, she has lots of clothespins ready too, and felt just like locals! as we saw that clothes were dried in the balcony on clotheslines because I think Greeks are more conserving with energy so don't use dryers which I find is good for the environment).
I especially appreciated the little post it notes she left in some areas that tells you how to use certain things, or giving you tips. She also has tons of brochures, travel guides, nice restaurants and attractions for you. Katerina's boyfriend, Stamos was also extremely friendly and welcoming, both were present to welcome us when we got there. The neighborhood wasn't too hard to find as long as you follow her instructions she emails you.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Katerina's cozy little apartment home. My favorite areas of the house were the kitchen and balcony. We're several floors up so looking down, we saw trees with oranges and fruits in them, and the balcony is so nice to sit in and feel the breeze at night. And in the morning, when we open the blinds, the sunlight rushes in and we'd have tea in the kitchen. There are 3 exits to the balcony, one in the living room, one in bedroom, and one in kitchen. We felt like we had the ultimate Greek experience because we were living amongst the locals there, many apartments and neighbors around us. The elevator was a fun experience to use, so were using the keys and locks. There are steel doors that come down and close so you don't have to worry about people getting into your house from the balcony.
When we were there, the TV wasn't working, but Katerina and Stamos were so kind as to go out and buy a new TV and quickly replaced it so we could watch Greek TV. We were so appreciative!
In conclusion, we HIGHLY recommend Katerina's cozy apartment house. She was a wonderful accommodating, responsive, super friendly host--and was very fluent in English. She was very helpful and answered any questions we had, and had no qualms about having as email or call her should we have any questions or concerns. We had complete privacy at the house as she lives in another house. Katerina's place was very hygienic and clean too--huge brownie points for me, as I am very particular about cleanliness.
Thank you for an amazing experience!
My stay at Katerina's appartment was really fine. The apartment was spacious, comfy and fully equipped. Katerina welcomed me when I arrived and showed me around the apartment. There was a small problem with the Internet, but that was quickly resolved and Katerina offered me a reduction in exchange for the trouble, which was not necessary.
The Zografou area is central, and the apartment is located about a 15 minute walk from a metro station. Access by car was also easy, as one of the main roads of the area is close to the apartment. There are also many shops, food markets and cafes around if you need them.
I definitely recommend this appartment for visiting Athens, especially if you are on a business trip, and Katerina is a great and very friendly host.
What we can say about our experience with Katerina´s apartment other than all the previous good comments done is that it was THE main reason for our stay in Greece to be the best possible. We totally recommend it to everyone - as long as you want exactly what was proposed by it´s title itself - a Charming and Cozy Athenian Apartment!
Thank you so much Katerina!

Katerina's apartment is really nice. It is really cosy and comfortable to live in. With 3 persons, the place was more than adequate.
Throughout our stay, Katerina provided a lot of information around the area and also helped answer any of our queries. If I were to visit Athens again, I would definitely come back here. Thanks Katerina for everything!
A presto .
I love traveling and experiencing cultures! As a past Barcelona resident I had the chance to really get a true taste of a great mix of cultures which I always admire and respect. Currently I am experimenting on the audiovisual field, dropping music guerilla parties with Fat (email hidden)mageddon on the Streets crew, I enjoy acrobatics and contemporary dance, but each year can't wait for the summer holidays..! I have been hosted and I have hosted a great amount of people until now, and long before I got engaged with the Airbnb community, so I think I can understand and evaluate the needs of both sides...!
