Howdy! This is one room in a completely renovated 1800's Vermont farmhouse. There's a spacious kitchen & brightly lit living area. The room itself has a table & chair and a twin bed, along with plenty of space for anything that you bring along. Bathroom is shared with 1-2 of my housemates.
The house is a 100 yards from the Connecticut River, which you'll have access to for swimming & boating. The yard is full of several beautiful gardens with flowers, fruits, and vegetables all summer long.
Depending on the time of year, you may have the place to yourself, or you may have one or more of my 3 wonderful housemates. They are all Dartmouth Medical School students in their late 20's. We all love the outdoors and enjoy living where we do. We're all pretty quiet though - we go to bed early!
It's a 10 minute drive into Hanover / Dartmouth College and 15 minutes to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital.
A few house rules:
-- No pets allowed
-- No smoking of any kind in the house or on the property
-- No overnight guests (can have 1-2 people over for dinner)

The Vermont Farmhouse is pretty much what you'd expect from a house full of med student renters who are working busily to keep up with their studies: basic furnishings, a bit messy, having to work around each others' shower schedule, etc...
The residents were pleasant and the room was adequate. I was only really there to sleep, so didn't use the kitchen or living area, but they seemed fine. Paul was very communicative and helpful.
Probably not the place for neat freaks, or people looking for a charmer, but it met my needs.
I had a lovely stay at the Vermont Farmhouse. The place has a charming aesthetic and a relaxing feel. It was very clean during my 2.5 week stay. The residents are friendly and respectful. I had no issues and thought I got a really good value for the price.
