About This Listing
Come stay in one of the best buildings in Williamsburg. The building is home to many artists and musicians. Right on the water with amazing views of the city. Great rooftop!!!
The loft is open and airy with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and kitchen. In the room is a queen sized bed and futon. The bedroom can accommodate 3. One queen-sized is a memory foam mattress that will give you the best sleep ever. The bedroom also has huge windows that allow for a great view and tons of sunshine. Enjoy a unique layout with many interesting touches.
If you love to cook (as I do), there are plenty of cooking accessories to use to create your perfect culinary masterpiece. You can easily do this by taking advantage of the farmers market in Union Square that is only a 3 minute train ride away!
The building is a reinvented ex pasta warehouse with tons of charm and tons of charming people. Enjoy meeting many great artists and musicians on the roof, elevator, and in passing in the hallways. Or venture out into the interesting and exciting nightlife of Williamsburg. Close to Diner, Marlow, Traif, Nighthawk, Bedford Avenue, and tons of great shops and restaurants. The city is just a hop skip away by train, bike, cab, or (even better) the water taxi. The closest subways are L and JMZ. The water ferry is conveniently located directly across the street that can take you uptown to 34th St in 15 min or downtown to the South Street Seaport! If you have a zipcar membership there is a lot also across the street that can help you get you to the beach or many other great day trips.
Guests that stay with me are welcome to access all my loft has to offer. The roof is probably the most desired of all of my guests. You will be blown away at the view (after all, it was the selling point for me to live in this particular building). In addition to the roof you will have access to the kitchen and all of the accessories there. I have an Apple TV that is easy to connect to and use. If you are looking for a moment to be a couch potato, the Apple TV is set up with Hulu and Netflix. There is WiFi, a washer and dryer on the floor, and a pretty kick ass sound system if you are inclined to dance.
Also, you will be fortunate to stay with a seamstress (myself), if you find you need a garment alteration or simple repair, you are welcome to ask me to do so (time permitting, and for a small fee... sometimes free)
Interaction with Guests
I truly enjoy hosting and I am happy to help the people that stay with me to try things that I hold dear to my heart. I encourage picking my brain and utilizing my connections that help make Brooklyn and the city an amazing experience.
Not trying to boast here. I also enjoy learning about things that my guests may know and I do not. I appreciate any information on the city that I may find useful that I can pass along to others or use myself.
If you want to tag along on one of my typical adventures, please let me know as you are more than welcome to join!
Everybody loves Williamsburg!!! It has an amazing energy anytime of the year. There is tons to do here and many of my guests insist on staying in Brooklyn because they are impressed with the charm. From great music venues to impressive restaurants, bars, and shops.
Other Things to Note
The room is the biggest in the already large loft. If you like doing cartwheels you will have plenty of space to do them!
The rules are simple... Please respect my space and my belongings. The roof is also an wonderful amenity with rules posted. Please respect the rooftop rules too.
We stayed four nights in Saddie's appartement.
The room looks the same as on the pictures. It is a big and very bright room, which is very appreciable.
Nevertheless, the appartement is quite dirty. A lot of dust is present everywhere, on any furniture. You can tell nothing has been cleaned for a very long time. Especially the bathroom. The same for the rooftop. But we have to say that the view from there is very impressive.
Important: the apartment is quite far from the nice area of Williamsburg --> 20 min by walk or 10 min with a Uber (approximately 8 dollars). The ferry to Manhattan is very close, though.
Saddie was not warm at all. The first two days, she did not say a word, actually.. Except that we could not wear shoes on the appartement, on a very cold way. She was really not welcoming and acted like we didn't exist. The third day she became a little bit nicer. Some visitors would maybe appreciate it, but we personally found it quite impolite.
Personnally, we would not recommend to stay there.
We had a wonderful time in Sadies appartment! The room was spacious and light and the appartment supercool. Sadie was a great host, a supernice person who really made us feel right at home. The roof was a sightseeing in itself, wow! We totally loved staying in Williamsburg, Sadie gave us a lot of good tips for restaurants and places to go. The bed was also super, we slept like angels. The appartment is very spacios and open. This give the place it's special atmosprair, but it also make it sounded. We did not have any problem with sounds, but a more sensitive person might. I will definitly stay with Sadie next time I go to New York!
My one month stay at this beautiful loft was perfect. Location was great, no doubt the best area to stay!. The apartment was confortable and well equiped, the room very spacious and bright. I couldn't have asked for anything better really.
The host, Sadie, AMAZING- extremely helpful, what a friendly and warm person she is, we had soooo much fun together and I can’t wait to go back again.
Thank you Sadie so much!!
Overall we had a great time at Sadie's beautiful loft. The room is exactly as the picture describes it. The building offers a geat view on Manhattan and the location allow you to go to the city with only 1 stop with the L line. Safe neighbourhood and really cosy to get back to it after the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. We would therefore recommande it even though we did not interact a lot with Sadie.
On the less bright side, there was not cold water on the bathroom sink and the room was a little bit dirty (especially the toilet that we felt obliged to clean after seing that it hasn't been done for a few days).
I really enjoyed having you and your brother stay with me in my loft. I am mortified to hear about the mess and wish that you would have brought it up to me. I would have taken care of it right away. In light of this information I am now seeking a more permanant house keeper (with a full time job and all of the things I need to stay on top of, it is evident that I am in need of more substantial help). The cold water has been fixed as well. I thank you Jerome for pointing this out to me so I will fix it. Also, wish both you and your brother the best. Thanks for staying with me!
Sadie was a great host, very kind, approachable, and happy to answer questions about anything we had to ask. The apartment is absolutely gorgeous and just the way it looks in the pictures. There's a beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline from the guest bedroom which is even more breathtaking from the roof terrace. The building is an exciting place to be with a very unique and artistic feel to it.
The area of Williamsburg is good, around a 10 minute walk to the nearest subway stop but I'd also recommend getting a ferry across to Manhattan too as it's only $4 and right by the apartment block. There's a big supermarket nearby and the Bedford Avenue area (around 15mins away) is great for eating out.
Really happy to have stayed here and totally would again if I ever end up back in NY.
Great place to stay for New York and Sadie was a good host.
The apartment is a 10 minute walk from marcy av. where the metro will take you in about 15 minutes to Manhattan. Also the neighborhood was a great place. Some restaurants with some excellent food.
Definitely would stay here again.

About the Host, Sadie
I love wine, dancing, food, film, and blues music. I'm a Texas native but have been living in New York for quite a while now. I keep to myself for the most part, but, if the opportunity to be social appears then I am all about it. Currently working in hospitality and fashion. Love making new friends.
