Stephanie was a great host for us! She even let me drop my bags off early as I was off to catch a music festival. The house is wonderful, and it's right near all kinds of great restaurants and coffee shops. She keeps it very clean, and has two very cute cats. A+
It was my first time in Chicago and my plans to stay with a friend fell through at the last minute. Stephanie was kind enough to allow me to book for one night and she made me feel incredibly welcome (as did her very sweet kittens). It was a short but lovely stay.
What can I add to all the reviews already on this page? Our first AirBnB experience, and a great one. My friend and I were in town for the Grateful Dead shows, and Stephanie's place was perfect; clean and comfortable, convenient to downtown by public transit, and in a great neighbourhood. The space is as warm and welcoming as the photos suggest, as is Stephanie! She had great recommendations for places to eat and was a gracious host and engaging conversationalist--and always had good coffee ready in the morning. Oh, and mustn't forget her lovely cats, Sam and Mia!
We loved staying at Urban Oasis in Wicker Park. Stephanie was an excellent host, answered all of our questions and was very accommodating and flexible throughout our stay. Her two kittens are super cute as a bonus.
Stephanie was a great host - friendly and helpful and always available to see how I was going. She also had a great tip on where to find the best hotdog in Chicago :) her cats are wonderful, the apartment is amazing and the neighbourhood is just the BEST. I wouldn't hesitate to book or recommend her place. The only minus was that she wouldn't let me take one of the cats home. How selfish! ;)
I had the great privilege of staying at Urban Oasis for 10 days in June which by far and away exceeded all my expectations. As I was there on business with a very intense schedule, coupled with a few days of tourism I required a high level of comfort but also wanted to thoroughly enjoy a local, heritage environment.
The neighborhood was gorgeous with lush, tree lined streets and every heritage house worth stopping for a long look and at least 1 picture. Within easy walking distance was lovely shops, restaurants and boutiques. The Damon stop was close enough that I wheeled my luggage there and back for a direct line to the airport.
The Urban Oasis home was exactly as pictured with Stephanie's wonderful sense of style, filled with antique furniture and found treasures. Home was exceptionally clean and very comfortable and welcoming.
Stephanie, herself was a gracious host and went out of her way to help me get set up for my business days as well as going so far as to pick up a few groceries for me to snack on. The coffee was always on and the Chicago deep dish pizza we ordered on our movie night together was delicious! I came a stranger and went away feeling like a friend.
The other guests were lovely and I believe we all felt very at home. Even the two kittens were welcoming and entertaining and little Mila became my special purring companion for my stay.
I have booked my stay for next year already and look forward to my June visits to Urban Oasis for many years to come!

This space is a very special home with a serene and peaceful quality about it that happens to be in the center of the Wicker Park/Ukrainian village happenings. I love it here and thus far, most everyone who has stayed does as well!!
