The house was even better than we expected. The living room, bedroom, and kitchen are so comfortable and stylish. The beds are super comfortable, with lovely, soft sheets. The view is stunning. The deck is the perfect place for breakfast (and dinner). The garden is lovely. We spent a few hours just lazing comfortably in the hammock.
The location is just a little out of the way, which for us was exactly what we wanted, but an easy drive both to wine tasting, Guerneville, and to the coast. Speaking of the coast, there were plenty of helpful local guidebooks at the house, which gave us great ideas for an out-of-the-way hike at Salt Point State Park.
Our stay at Ocean View was more than we could have expected. I stayed there for a long weekend with my son and his wife - we all felt like we were in paridise! The home itself is perfectly decorated for the setting, and the setting is beyond wonderful. There are views from every area of the house and an amazing panorama view from the decks. We loved being in the living room with the extensive musical collection available, the raised wooden beam ceiling, the fireplace and the coziness of comfortable seating. There is a large well tended garden with small table and chairs where we drank our morning coffee and enjoyed the sun and nature. We picked greens for our salads and cut flowers for displaying throughout the home. The kitchen was well stocked and a delight to work in with a HomeBeautiful worthy dinning nook. I especially enjoyed my master bedroom with beautiful views and private deck. It was a wonderful weekend for us all.
The reservation was canceled 5 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Wondering how six of us would or could enjoy this family holiday along the coast of Bodega Bay . . . until we arrived at THIS cozy cabin. Nestled among a "Sherwood Forest" of trees, we just followed the welcoming lights to the front door and after stepping into such delightful accommodations, amenities, and ambience . . . there was no doubt that we were all going to have a WONDERFUL time!
Beautiful and wonderful! We had everything we needed and more. It was really nice and I would definitely stay there again. The area is so relaxing and calming - good nature retreat for city goers.
A beautiful setting and a very well thought out house and outdoor space to take advantage of the views wherever you choose to sit, indoors or outdoors - brilliant.. The house is well equipped and every area is comfortable. There is plenty of space for a group of 3 couples. You need to drive if you want to go out to dinner as the house is 3 miles from the town of Occidental. The host was available for any questions by email ( our choice) and phone and responded very quickly. The only bad thing was having to leave and
The house was perfect for our Sonoma County retreat. It was a great landing pad for us for our friends' wedding off Coleman Valley Rd. We loved the hammock in the back yard - it was the best place to enjoy the warm afternoon sun when we arrived. We would definitely stay here again!
