  • Ann and Richard were very accommodating and flexible with our schedule. We had a nice stay and a lovely breakfast from Ann. It was quiet and easy.

  • This space is amazing, and if you have the chance, you should book a stay with Richard and Ann. My son and I stayed on the second floor of their space, in their 'skylight' room. The space is very clean, has its own bathroom, as well as small fridge, microwave and coffee pot. They've got plenty of extra linens in the bathroom. Ann made us a wonderful quiche, sausages, and provided fresh fruit and berries, cream and butter, etc for our breakfasts. She was so kind to check to see if we had any food preferences, and went out of her way to provide gluten free bread for us.

There is a large shared living space with a completely updated kitchen and dining area. We had the whole place to ourselves one night, and the next night, had the chance to meet some long-term guests who were very sociable.

The house is in such a beautiful location, very remote, which we liked; though if you need to get to groceries, shopping, food, etc, it is about 15 minutes away. The location is about 45 minutes from Amish Country. We would love to get a chance to return to this very special space and see more of the area.

  • What a beautiful, charming house on a lovely property in the countryside! We are from Philadelphia and came to Elverson to visit French Creek State Park on a weekend getaway/retreat from city life and we had a perfect stay! So relaxing and refreshing. Our room was beautifully decorated, clean, and had so much character. Ann provided us with some homemade quiche, sausage, cake, fruit juices, and fresh fruit for breakfast and everything was so fresh and delicious. We enjoyed visiting with the horses and dogs and watching the sun set as a family on a blanket in the field. The neighborhood is so beautiful and serene and everyone we met was so friendly and welcoming. Only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

Just say the word and you can see the horses up close and personal. We have done horse pictures with our guests, just were not aware that you were interested..:) Don't hesitate to ask, if you can come back we would love to have you.

  • What a wonderful home! We stayed overnight with Ann and Richard and were awed by the beautiful accommodations and by their hospitality. The unit is super-spacious and overlooks the garden and grounds, which are stunning, and Ann and Richard were wonderful hosts (and make an incredible breakfast quiche!) My friends and I really could not recommend a stay with them more highly.

  • We loved staying here - it was truly a gem in the countryside. Richard and Ann were wonderful hosts - friendly, accommodating and helpful. The house is very cozy, and it was a delight to wake up and watch their horses in the field while we drank coffee on the porch.

There are great hiking spots close by, and some good restaurants. We are looking forward to going back someday!

    Response from Richard & Ann:

Thanks, we sure enjoyed having you both. Hope your daughter is healing nicely, sorry that things didn't go smoother at their camp. But as you know, children are children and things tend to happen. Thank you for your gracious review. We hope to see you again in the future.

  • This place was stunningly beautiful! The home was very cozy and beautiful with a very nice kitchen and living room also the bedrooms were just perfect and spacious. Our favorite part was the view of the horses and country side, it was just breath taking. And the host was very welcoming and sweet, and truly made us feel at home. I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a beautiful stay. Thank you again Anne and Richard :)

  • I stay with Dick and Ann on a regular basis and they are such wonderful hosts. The property and accommodations are stunning and very peaceful. There are plenty of trails nearby for hiking and other outdoor activities. The nearby St. Peter's Village is a gem, too! I can't recommend it enough!

  • Great hosts, and a lovely, quiet, immaculate place to stay out in the country! The house is very comfortable, and I had a huge kitchen to use. Ann and Richard are friendly, warm, and welcomed me right in, even though I showed up early!!

  • We were absolutely overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness and kindness displayed by our hosts. The cookies, quiche, and gourmet coffee ruined our chances at enjoying a stay anywhere else. Looking forward to return visits.
