Anna & Luke are warm and welcoming hosts. We booked four nights and had a wonderful stay. The suite is lovely and situated in a charming part of Oak Bay steps away from the ocean. We would most definitely stay again.
I had a wonderful experience staying with Anna and her Family, for 3 days in the large comfortable beautifully furnished suite. Anna, met me as I got out of the Taxi ( About $12.00 Canadian Dollars from downtown Victoria), with a bowl of freshly picked Strawberries. We munched on them while she showed me the Suite, with a huge shower (two shower heads) and comfy couch and enormous TV and large bed. After she gave me a walking tour around the neighborhood, down to the water, over to an old Chinese Cemetery, then to a beach area about 5 minutes from her home. It was breathtaking!
If you are looking for a delightful private suite ,in a unique neighborhood, close to the water and beach, this is the place!
I really enjoyed my stay at the Anna’s Place. Anna and her family were very warm and welcoming. They made me feel comfortable right away. Anna was very flexible and very responsive and the whole process couldn't have been smoother. The area is secure, quiet, and close to the beach and other amenities. The apartment is very cozy and has a beautiful backyard. It is very tastefully furnished, clean and very well kept. Highly recommended.
Nothing but lovely things to say about Anna and her family! My boyfriend and I had a short stay in Victoria so we ended up with only 2 nights at Anna's. It was super cozy for two and beautifully decorated. For a short stay it was everything we needed. Her daughter was very friendly greeting us as we arrived and Anna was nothing but amazing from accommodating any needs to even giving us a small tour of the neighbourhood! I guess the only thing I could suggest (which Isnt even bad or necessary) is perhaps one more garbage in the place, maybe by the coffee stand as there was only one in the bathroom. We definitely managed but if you are staying longer I can see how that would fill up fast.
Thank you so much again for everything, especially the delicious restaurant recommendation called IL Terrazzo (Italian restaurant downtown). If we ever come back to Victoria we know where we would love to stay again! Highly recommend :)
This is a cute and quiet neighbourhood close to the ocean. The host provided quick responses to emails and although this is advertised as a room, its more like a private suite. The couch was very cosy and comfortable for times when you wanted to curl up and watch TV. Coffee maker and small fridge were also convenient.
The suite is as advertised. It is at basement level and therefore somewhat dark. However, it is very roomy, the shower is huge, and we enjoyed a quiet stay. We also appreciated the included pod coffee maker and complimentary coffee pods, along with fresh milk in the small fridge.
We did not actually meet Anna, but everything went smoothly.
Anna, Luke and Lara's ocean suite is a hidden gem after a long trip. Comfy robes, slippers, candles and chocolate were lovely. The designer bathroom and huge rain shower with tons of huge fluffy towels were all added touches to an already exceptional suite. The location is perfect for viewing mount Olympus and the panorama views from the point. It wasn't until we had explored the whole city by car did we realize what a hidden gem we had found in this exceptional home stay. Thank you Anna, Luke and Lara for sharing your home and garden with us. Oh and the Keurig and real cream were a appreciated too!
About the Host, Anna
We have lived in this neighbourhood for 4 years, we lived on salt spring Island and in Mexico prior and feel lucky to be here everyday. We love to walk the dog in the evenings around our neighbourhood and will often go to the point to watch the sunset or if we are feeling brave, dive off of the rocks. We enjoy biking, badminton in the yard and gardening. We are a quiet family but enjoy a few outdoor B.B.Q's. We would be happy to answer any questions or arrange for outings while you are here if you would like. Also our daughter loves children. Feel free to contact us if you would like any more information. Thank-you
