About This Listing
The Apartment is the incredibly spacious bottom two floors of a brownstone on tree-lined Union street. The room has a beautiful bay window overlooking Union street. It has a futon bed. You will be sharing the apartment (bathroom, kitchen, common areas) with me and my roommate, Dan. We both travel quite a bit, so you may have the whole apartment to yourself. The room is for one person, but if you are two people and need more sleeping space, we may be able to accommodate your request on a case by case basis, so feel free to ask.
Dan and I are both professional bridge players and often away at tournaments. We are both friendly and happy to answer questions or give advice about what to see or do, or how to get there.

A lovely apartment in a perfect location! We arrived late and Randall was generous in accommodating us, and friendly to chat with when we got in after midnight. In the morning we walked around the corner and had perfect New York bagels. The bed was a super-comfy thick memory foam mattress, and even though right in the middle of a neighborhood busy with activity, it was two very quiet nights' sleep. Perfect!
Felt very well taken care of by Randall and Dan. Communication was always prompt and clear. Very clear instructions on how to access the apartment. The apartment was very clean and tidy. And the space was huge! Perfect for my business needs including a nice work table for a computer and a good wireless connection. They provide very generous access to living spaces, TV room & kitchen. Wonderful block in Park Slope. Close to restaurants, shops & subway.
I booked this room for my husband. He said the room was spacious, the location was perfect. Randall provided instructions on how to get in, because he wasn't there during check-in. The instructions were clear. The bed was comfortable. My husband said he's hoping to stay there again during his next trip to Park Slope.
I had a nice stay at Randall's home. The room was quiet and Randall, Dan and Alex were rarely home, so I felt like I had the place to myself. The location was wonderful, Brooklyn Park Slope is a terrific, safe neighborhood for walking and sight-seeing. Lots of interesting shops and restaurants nearby and the place is close to trains to get to mid-town manhattan in 15-20 minutes. I would recommend a stay in this unique brownstone and great neighborhood.

About the Host, Randall
I play professional bridge so I'll likely be out of town at a tournament when you stay at my place. It's a great gig because it means I get paid to teach someone either as an instructor or as that person's partner and I basically get to play cards all day.
When I travel, I like to get lost in a city because I always seem to find the best, local, unpublicized events without any other tourists
