Spacious bedroom with private bath

House - Private room · Cherry Hill Road, Princeton, NJ 08540, United States

Enjoy this spacious bedroom in a Civil War-era farmhouse on 2+ acres one mile from downtown Princeton. Feel at home with our extra comfy beds, fully-equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, large garden, bikes and nature trails.

The Space

Your bedroom includes a king-size bed and a clothing rack. A full, private bath adjoins the room. There is a second, shared bath downstairs. Sheets, towels, toiletries and a bathrobe are available for your convenience and comfort.

A twin or double-sized aerobed can be provided for additional guests upon request (subject to availability). Room sleeps up to four.

Our house is situated on two and a quarter acres of sprawling lawn and 100+ year-old sugar maples, oaks, and pines. The house currently looks more 1950s than 1860s, but we hope in time to restore and reveal the house’s old bones. We are also currently working to replace some of the traditional, suburban landscaping with an organic fruit, vegetable, and flower garden). We keep chickens. Our property adjoins a nature preserve (great for trail running and walking).

Guest Access

You'll share with us a kitchen, dining room, living room, deck, and sprawling backyard.

We've got a fully stocked self-serve breakfast & snack bar available throughout the day (cereals, fruit, yogurt, jam, tea, coffee, fresh eggs, sausage with many gluten-free/vegan/paleo options) and a kitchen with plenty of space for your groceries.

Cable TV + Netflix / Amazon Prime. High-speed Wifi both indoors and throughout most of the property. Board games. Lawn games. Chickens, flower garden, vegetable garden, young fruit trees & berries.

  • Excellent, really appreciated the help and support from Jenn and Omar, they were so helpful and friendly. Great to borrow bikes and explore Princeton on bikes, and great they were so flexible with our college daughter visiting and sleeping over. Thanks very much, highly recommended.

  • I could not be happier with my experience. The location, home and room are absolutely beautiful, and so incredibly comfortable. Jenn and Omar are the most gracious hosts I have ever met, and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and happy.

  • Jennifer and Omar were great hosts and we enjoyed their hospitality! Its a diamond in the rough. It was such a peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle of things but minutes away from it all if you needed it again. The room had tons of natural lighting which was the icing on top for me. They were very flexible and hospitable. Definitely hope to be back one day.

  • Jen and Omar's farmhouse is about a 15 min. walk from campus, and it is the most amazing place. The bedroom is very peaceful, with many windows overlooking the garden. They have thought of everything that anyone would possibly want for breakfast (every type of nut arranged in mason jars, muesli and granola, oatmeal, pancake mix, cereals, yogurt, berries, the prettiest eggs from their own chickens, lara bars and other granola bars for people who are just running out) as well as every toiletry item that anyone could possibly require, arranged in the neatest way in a very meticulous linen closet. I will be staying here often in the future!

  • Truly a pleasure to be hosted by Omar and Jennifer. A taste of country right outside the door. Fresh farm eggs from their very own chickens, delicious snacks, a spacious bedroom with a comfortable quality bed which was quite important to me. I made reservations for one night and decided to stay another. I met my daughter and grand-baby at the house and found them laying on a blanket on the lawn waiting for me. Very sweet.
Thank you for your warm hospitality Omar and Jennifer. We were quite comfortable and happy.
I'd like to think that we would be back again...if you'll have us....smilie.
    The best to you two.

  • Great location and most welcoming hosts. Every detail is well thought out. A very comfortable, spacious bedroom with great bedding. Many excellent options for "help yourself" breakfast. Even got my first taste of maple tree sugar water - superb!

  • We had an excellent few days staying with Jen and Omar in Princeton. They made us feel right at home straight away in their beautiful farmhouse. The room was enormous and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and enough to keep you going all day. The house is set in beautiful grounds and is an easy walk into the centre of Princeton. Most of all, it was great to spend some time with the hosts, who were friendly, welcoming and really interesting.

  • Had a perfect stay at this beautiful house. The room was VERY spacious, the bed was so comfortable. We were able to make breakfast in the morning in the kitchen and there was also a huge selection of breakfast foods, pretty much anything you want they got it. Felt like we were at home from the beginning. Definitely would stay here again. Telling all my friends about it too.

  • Great Host, 5 stars

  • Omar and Jenny were very welcoming and relaxed. They urged us to to make ourselves at home in their lovely farmhouse, and when the weather was inclement they were only too happy to give us a lift into downtown Princeton. It was strictly self-serve in their kitchen, which suited us down to the ground. Much closer than the Route One hotels and much nicer!

About
I've recently moved to Princeton with my husband who is a professor. I'm an academic turned documentary filmmaker and sometimes homesteader. This year we've harvested from our property: wild greens, berries, all sorts of vegetables, chestnuts (the most amazing you've ever tasted!), maple syrup, and the loads of fresh eggs daily. This year we've seen on our property: loads of wild birds, vultures, hawks, great horned owls (they eat our poor chickens but make the most amazing sounds at night), deer, rabbits, groundhogs, and several species of turtles.
