Even though the main photo of this listing shows a kitchen, guests are not allowed to use or enter the kitchen at all. That is the weirdest thing I have ever seen on Airbnb. Johanna actually has a very nice sun room. Why don't post that as the main photo? We were sharing the space with the host and other guests, which was fine, but just a little weird. The cleaning effort was not very thorough in this place. I don't think my bed sheet was changed from the previous guests because I found at least 2 different colored hairs that were not mine on the bed. My mother-in-law found a pair of socks that were not hers hanging on the heater in her room. The overall stay was just ok compared to all the other 4 Airbnb accommodations that we've stayed in Iceland during this trip. Don't really recommend. :(

Hello Lu Xu I don't know why you say that its weird that you couldn't use the kitchen as that is stated in the description of the space. I also state that I'm currently living in the apartment and I thought that the purpose with airbnb hosting was that guests rent room in someone's home. I always change sheets for my guests, but I can't explain why you did find colored hairs in the bed, could be from my son and me. So if you needed a private accommodation that you should have rent a private apartment. Thank you for the tip about my sun room. Space I offer you to rent a room in an charming and cozy apartment in a row house, that is ideal for a singles, couples or friends traveling together ! Please notice that I currently live in the apartment. . This apartment is very nice and sunny flat with 1 living room 1 bedroom for 1 - 2 persons bed 1,80x2,00m (one bed, not possible to make as twin room 1 bedroom for 1-2 persons, bed 1,20x2,00m so double economy. 1 bedroom for 2 persons that I also rent out for others guests than airbnb guests. 1 bathroom with shower and sink 1 WC with a sink Private parking in the street in front of the house. This apartment is really well situated. It takes only about 10 - 15 minutes to go to the center of town (by car) and all the main tourist attractions, f.ex Perlan, Hallgrímskirkja, Ásmundasafn, Laugardalur with the Botanic garden and a outdoor swimming pool. The nearest bus station is less then 3 minutes by foot, making this a perfect base for exploring the city. I'm an official licensed homestay, that means that I have fulfilled all requirements about hygiene and fire protection. Guest access You will have access to the -free internet and a -free parking in the street in front of my house. Guest interaction I will be able to assist you and give some answers to your questions about what to see and do during your stay in Iceland. Neighborhood overview I like how well my apartment is situtated. In the neigborhood you can find all kind of services, f.ex. groceries stores, bakery, pharmacy and a gas station. On of the two biggest shopping mall, Kringlan, is in 5 min walking distance and one of the biggest outdoor swimming pool and spa, the Botanical Garden, a family park and zoo with most Icelandic animals, is situated in 10-15 min. walking distance. It's takes around 20-25 min to walk to downtown Reykjavik, but only 5-10 min. by bus. Getting around You can take bus from my home, takes around 3-6min to go to the bus station, depending on where you are going. Other things to note I don't serve breakfast and don't let guests use the kitchen. You have access to a coffee machine and a refrigerator in a common space. There I also have a table where you can sit down.

This house was charming! We came without a car, so if you're signing up for day trips through larger companies, it's about a 5-10 minute walk to the Hilton which all the major tour companies do pickups at. The bathroom was amazing and modern--(can never go wrong with heated floors!) and she even included a couple apples and a pitcher of water in our rooms. I left an electric toothbrush at the place after we left, and when I asked when I could come get it, Johanna came over to my new Airbnb and dropped it off at my convenience! Cannot recommend it more highly! Point of clarification: it is one double bed per room, and one room per reservation, so I would touch base with her if you are looking for multiple rooms or beds.
