Welcome to our cozy hideaway! Located in the eclectic, walkable Ballard neighborhood - a 10 min drive from downtown Seattle.
Designed as a space of respite for our visiting friends and family, every aspect of care for this unit is handled by us. We're not a boutique hotel, and we don't own a dozen other units. We just love hosting, and we hope you'll feel that through our offerings - an exceptionally private, clean, and comfortable unit with a variety of little extras to make you feel at home.
The space
Our modern townhome is located in a charming, walkable, urban-residential neighborhood and is set back from the street at the end of a shared driveway. Access to the private guest unit, situated on the bottom level of our townhome, is gained via a gated path to a private entrance at the back of the home. Do note there are a few steps to navigate when accessing the unit: three steps to the top of the bridge and four steps down. There are also three steps leading up to the covered deck.
The self-contained, 280 sq. ft. private unit includes 1 bedroom with a queen-size bed, mini-split heating/cooling system, dresser, and spacious closet. Adjacent full-size bathroom includes a deep tub/shower combo, hairdryer, towels, robes, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, lotion, and body wash.
The open-concept living space boasts a 42-inch smart TV, two comfortable wingback chairs, ottomans, and a flexible eating/work space with two cushioned folding chairs. A guest WiFi network is available to keep you connected.
Additionally, guests will have private use of a covered outdoor dining space, and a patio with lounge seating and fire pit, all accessible directly outside the unit.
Love coffee? Our Nespresso Essenza creates beautiful espresso for a quick caffeine fix from the comfort of home.
A combined mini fridge/freezer, microwave, electric kettle, dinnerware (bowls, plates, utensils, cups, mugs, wine glasses, kitchen tools), and snacks are provided for small-scale food preparation, but this unit does NOT include a full kitchen and does NOT have a sink outside of the bathroom.
The guest unit is self-contained, separated from the main house by an interior wall, and has no shared entryways or common spaces. However, the upper two levels of the townhome are our private residence where we live and work. We are typically very quiet people, but please let us know at any point during your stay if noise is a concern.

It is important to keep in mind that this unit is located in an urban neighborhood, and is not without it's occasional urban charms.
There are a number of critters, both large and small, that also consider this neighborhood home. Raccoons, coyotes, outdoor cats, a variety of birds and small rodents are all possible wildlife you may encounter outdoors during your stay. Do not attempt to feed/pet/capture any wildlife, and make sure that doors are always fully shut when entering/exiting the unit.
