(Note: At this time I only accept vaccinated guests. Sorry, I also cannot host any unvaccinated children.)

The Historic Marsh House has been my home for 43 years. I designed and planted the garden, upgraded the vintage cedar structure, and live downstairs with my pets.

I rent to only one person or group at a time to assure complete privacy for guests. It entails the base rate for two people in one bed.

ADDITIONAL BED FEE:
There is an additional $45 charge if an extra bed for two people is required.

ADDITIONAL PERSON FEE —
after 2 persons
There is a $45 charge for each extra person, (3rd, 4th, and 5th person).

Park in front of my home. I will park my vehicle in the back alley.

Self Check In begins at 4:00 pm, or earlier by arrangement.

Check out no later than 11:00 am.
Late Check out Fee: $50 per hour, after 11:00 am. (Sorry for the fee, but the space must be aired out, sanitized, laundry completed, linens ironed, and the space prepared for the next 4:00 pm guests’ checkin).

COVID 19 NOTE:

During this time of the virus, I am taking extra precautions as listed below. If you are sick in any capacity, including allergies, asthma, and have difficulty climbing stairs, please consider booking into a new hotel that has the newest construction accommodations.

1. Disinfecting surfaces, knobs, and railings with Clorox. In my commercial washer and dryer, I wash towels and sheets on hot. Blankets, bed pads, and pillows, too.

Before check out, guests place towels and sheets on the floor next to the washer. Guests open widows and turn on fans. Guests wash dishes with hot water and soap.)

2. Thoroughly airing the apartment with open windows and fans between bookings.

3. No close contact upon checkin and out. I message you on how to pick up the keys. You sign the registration sheet in the foyer. We communicate by Airbnb messaging.

The upstairs DAISY SUiTE is nostalgically perfect to recharge your soul and boost your creativity with its' ambiance. The suite can be rented short-term for up to 7 days per booking. You will receive complimentary french press coffee, tea, fruit, snacks.


THE DAISY SUITE HAS
TWO PRIVATE BEDROOMS

The Blue ELLA bedroom is fitted in historic furnishings including an 1860s, antique walnut double bed (a family treasure from Chicago that some folks say squeeks), a wall quilt crafted by Rebecca, with a collection of original art, a fan, and an excellent mattress.

The Yellow ARTEMISIA bedroom is fitted with a double antique French Iron bed (purchased in Oregon's cowboy territory), a collection of original art, a hand-loomed Finnish rag rug, a claw foot tub filled with plants, and an excellent mattress.

Beds are fitted with ironed cotton sheets, cotton and down blankets, and (sometimes) embroidered pillow cases.

COMMON SPACE
The private common space has three upholstered chairs, a rocker, two skylights, original talking floors, windows looking into the secluded private park like garden; a refrigerator, original farm sink, dishes, Norwegian Jotel Stove, summer air conditioner, art supplies, books, high speed internet, and TV.

The bath has on demand hot water, a 4' wide shower with a corner seat and safety bar, linens, soap, the original vintage water closet.

The Marsh House is filled with vintage and antique furnishings.

No pets due to allergies and safety.

LOCATION
The MARSH HOUSE Is located three blocks from the beach, harbor, sailing, and boating. It is one mile from the Bellingham International Airport and one mile from down town Bellingham's Old Town with the Whatcom Museum. The MARSH HOUSE is situated in the historic Columbia Neighborhood, near to several lovely parks and restaurants.

Many guests simply visit Bellingham to enjoy our music, art, or check out our myriad brewpubs, kombucha, mead, and spirits establishments.
