A lovely house (and garden) with a lovely host. We had a wonderful week in Dublin. Sandra was very kind to answer all my questions and gave a broad explanation of how to get to her house from the airport. Nothing to complain.
Vi likte oppholdet vårt 100%. Huset og beliggenheten var godt beskrevet. Sandra sendte SMS for å forsikre seg om at alt var bra med oss. Det var enkelt å bruke buss inn til sentrum.
Sandra was lovely at first, effective communication and friendly. House was beautiful, homely and comfortable. Really loved the backyard garden too! However, when we got back, I was accused of leaving the house in a mess which I did not. Some of the accusations were: bathroom flooded like swimming pool, cleaner filled 15 bags of rubbish from what we left along with 5 bags of rubbish left in the house, food on the upstairs wardrobes as if food were thrown around, windows left dirty & sink piled high with dishes. These allegations are untrue. My mom personally washed ALL the dishes, dried them & placed them back into the cupboard. There were no choking in the toilets and if there were to be a flood, we would notice it for sure. We didnt touch the windows, if they were dirty it should already have been dirty before we came. We did not leave any food on the wardrobe or throw food around; who would? That is uncivilised behaviour. We did not leave trash all over the house such that the cleaner had to pick them up and fill 15 bags of trash. How is it realistic to have that much of trash in a span of 4 nights? We filled our trash in plastic bags and left them beside the rubbish bin as they were full. Where else would we have thrown them then? Besides, the pots & pans on the table shown in the picture are already WASHED. They may not be in a proper place but they were not dirty or greasy. What are cleaners for again? I was asked to pay 99 euros for 5 extra hours of cleaning service. Airbnb sent me photos of what Sandra sent them, she didnt send me despite saying she did & completely ignored my messages. It didnt tally with whatever her false claims were. It just feels like these accusations were made up so that they could get more money out of me. Additionally, I've already paid 120 SGD of cleaning service. Was that for charity? And the pictures that were sent, nobody would require 5 hours to clean it. I didnt ask for compensation for the water heater that wasnt working in one of the toilets or when we left before 7am & lost 4 hours of normal check-out time. I really dont understand why Sandra's cleaner or herself would fabricate information & put me in a difficult situation when neither me, my family or 3 other friends have committed what they described we did. Additionally, there was no agreement or instructions to leave the house as it is before we came or clean it. Which I suppose then we wont just be guests but cleaners as well and whats the use of paying for cleaning service again? For this specific trip, me, my family and my friends stayed in 4 other places in Airbnb and we never had any cleanliness issues. In fact, we had good reviews! This...
Sandra's home is great, has absolutely everything, and close to supermarkets. Good position between town and airport also. Sandra was good to deal with.
The house is just like the photos advertised and is located in a quiet neighborhood. It is a short walk plus a 15 minute bus ride from City Centre. Sandra left a book with some helpful information about the city. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Sandra's place!
Sandra was very helpful for any questions we had. We stayed 5 nights and although the weather was rainy, we spent a nice time. The area is quiet, the house is comfortable, there is a bus every 15mn to go in the center of Dublin. Thank you Sandra !
