Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Secluded tree house getaway nestled in the mountains 25 minutes outside of Asheville NC and 4 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Located on a 125 acre private forestry managed property that backs up to Pisgah National Forest. Off grid glamping at its finest. Snuggle up to a book and unwind, eat amazing food in Asheville, plan some epic hikes, and catch some great music at a brewery. *4WD/AWD vehicles mandatory*.

The space
Wake up to a breath taking view amidst the trees! Hike the easy nearby trail along the creek into Pisgah National Forest or drive 4 miles up to the Blue Ridge Parkway for some of the best hikes in the area! You can be in downtown Asheville in 25 minutes to enjoy all the amazing food, breweries, and art galleries.

The cabin has a comfortable queen size bed, a propane one burner camp stove for outdoor cooking, solar generator to plug into and charge cell phones, and a water cooler for washing. We provide a camping solar shower bag. Near the cabin is a clean weekly serviced porta potty only used by this cabin. The outdoor fire pit is situated near the cabin for hanging out and making s'mores. There is a small heater that can run off of the solar generator but please plan for colder nights during the winter.

Please bring your own towels and bedding including pillows/queen size sheets/blankets or sleeping bags. We will have bedding available if you cannot bring your own- contact us in advance.

Bring a cooler with ice in it for your perishables (there is no fridge).

We provide basic cookware/dinnerware, a tea pot, coffee press and a couple 5 gallon jugs of water for you to wash dishes and shower in. There is a well on site for extra water needs.

No Pets. We love dogs and know how hard it is to find a place that allows them to come on vacation with you. All of our other rentals are pet friendly so please check them out if you need to bring your dog with you- there are too many risks for pets so we are asking guests to leave their puppies at home for this one.

If you can't find the dates you want, check out our other awesome cabins by clicking on our Airbnb profile. We post last minute cancellations on Insta gram under Pisgah Highlands.

Guest access
This cabin is located on a 125 acres of private forest management land. We have other airbnb cabins located on the property but they are all very far apart from one another.

Our favorite hiking and swimming holes are near the cabin on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Check out Black Balsam, Graveyard fields, Mount Pisgah, Skinny dip falls, Devils Courthouse and just hiking the Mountain to Sea trail. They often close the parkway for snow/ice conditions during the winter so be sure to check on road closure information before visiting. Even if the Blue Ridge Parkway is closed, you can still park up there and hike on the Mountain to Sea trail.

Near the property, there is an easy hike into Pisgah National Forest that follows a creek.

Feel free to wander the property. We just request that you don't go around other people's cabins to respect their space.

Other things to note
PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING:
Due to the gravel road leading up to the property, we are 4 wheel drive or AWD only.

The area around this cabin was minimally damaged by Hurricane Helene. The roads getting here are all open.
Downtown Asheville is back up and running and are happy to have tourists back! The Riverarts district has galleries and art studios that are open so please go there and buy some art! The Biltmore House is open, but the area surrounding it, Biltmore Village, was damaged by the flood.

If there is snow or dangerous road conditions during the winter, we may have to close the roads to the cabin. Although it rarely snows here, be sure to check the weather and be prepared for a change in plans. I give full refunds if we have to cancel due to snow.

We provide a solar shower bag that can be heated in the sun and used year around hung on the tree outside the treehouse. Other shower alternatives will be listed in our house manual.

There is a small heater run off of the solar generator to heat this cabin- if it is going to be super cold bring extra blankets for sleeping.

The bathroom is a porta potty that is emptied weekly and is dedicated to just this rental. It is a short walk from the cabin.

The cabin is off grid. Only cell phones and small electronics can be plugged into the solar generator. No hair dryers. Bring along lanterns and flashlights for lights. There are string lights controlled by remote and are battery operated. Extra batteries are in the loft storage cabinet.

We do not have wifi and there is limited cell service at the cabin. You can drive up the hill and get better cell service there.

There is no fridge. Please bring a cooler and ice for your perishable items.

Bring your own towels, queen size sheets/blankets/sleeping bags/pillows. If you can’t bring sheets let us know in advance and we can coordinate that for you.

My work: Dentist
Lives in Asheville, North Carolina
I was born and raised in Asheville. I lived in California for 10 years to attend school and then I moved back home to Asheville to practice dentistry with my father. I love camping, biking, running, playing at the lake, and going on adventures. I can’t cook so I have eaten just about everywhere in Asheville so if you need advice on where to go, I’m pretty hip to what's good. I have been told that Airbnb is my hobby and I have to admit that they are right! I love dreaming up ideas for cabins and spaces. It’s been so fun for me to do and I love getting to see people enjoy the spaces so please share photos with me on Insta gram under Pisgah Highlands.
