The b & b has 6 double or triple rooms all with private bath. In the large covered terrace breakfast is served with cakes made by Laura. A beautiful landscape, the silence and 'clean air backdrop to holiday in this place.
Situated in the heart of Tuscany, la Ripolina stretches over 100 hectares of land where the reknown white wine Arbia and the red wine Orcia are produced. The changing colours of the seasons make a stay here an enjoyable experience and the peace of the place regenerates both spirit and mind. The apartments used as agriturismo are situated in the mediaeval Pieve di Piana and in the nearby farmhouses. All of the recently restored apartments have heating, fireplace, television, independent entrance and a private space outdoors. The furniture consists of original Tuscan pieces dating to the late 19th century. In the farmhouse Ripoli, dating back to the 16th century, there are B/B rooms with private bathroom. Breakfast is served in the portico of this building where you can enjoy a panoramic view reminding of Leonardo da Vinci’s paintings. Moreover, our guests can gather in the common lounge with a big fireplace to relax . Owing to its position close to the most important art cities, museums, spas, Ripolina is the ideal starting point for day trips and wellness stays.
We organize the weddings for few people (maximum 35 people)We prepare lunch in my house because we haven’t restaurant.
The farm is comfortable for a holiday with the children and babies , we have cot and child’s chair , and for cyclist , we have garage and the equipments for help.
All guests can freely use the swimming pool, barbecue, mountain bikes, gym, table tennis and a playground for the little ones
Interaction with Guests
Laura and her family is at guests' disposal for advice on what to visit or eat, solve the problems that may arise and sometimes even cook with them and for them.
The place is beautiful, in front of Montalcino, 25 km from Siena, on the Via Francigena, the old pilgrim route. The view is over the Siena hills and ranges up to Monte Amiata and beyond.
We are 3 km from the village of Buonconvento which is on the sr2, within easy reach of Siena (25 km) and also directly from Rome. Nearby Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano and many beautiful abbeys and spas. In Buonconvento there is train and bus station
Other Things to Note
Near the Ripolina there is everything: a close riding center, spa, places of art and culture. But above all we offer ourselves and our hospitality.
The Ripolina is a place of rest and tranquility then we ask our guests to respect above all the rest of the others do not bother taking behaviors. But we like to share moments with guests and some evenings we organize dinners together. Pets are welcome, we also have a dog, Cleo. You can smoke to 'open, throwing cigarette butts in the containers and in the apartments.
This was an amazing place to stay. It took us some time to get to the Bnb cause our gps decided not to work. But once we got there, it was lovely, soo peaceful and quiet. We only stayed 1 night, we were recommended a restaurant to check out in town for dinner (Mario's --> great place, family run). We didn't get to see much cause we were in a rush to leave the next morning, but the views were great and the breakfast in the morning was Huge! For us, it was too much food, but it was soo nice!! Laura is a great host, and soo very helpful with directions!! Thank you soo much again!
We were in Buoncovento to attend the Villaggio Della Birra festival. It was only a 10 minute walk from Laura's gorgeous agriturismo. Her property is lovely. The grounds are verdant. Our room was spacious with a lovely feel. The pool was a welcome treat. The views on sunflowers were very special. The breakfasts were very very generous and delicious. My only minor complaint was the imposition of the small 'city tax' upon departure. I understand such levies exist but can't understand why it wasn't simply incorporated into our AirBnB payment.
dear andrea I'm sorry you felt bad about the payment of the tax, unfortunately, does not depend on me, it is a municipal tax that I just have to cash.
In Italy this is different in each place and you can find in a city and you do not can be found in another. A Buonconvento has been made recently, 1 Euro per person per night. For accounting purposes I can not put it in the receipt of the room must be paid separately, this is not included in the rate paid on the site. I hope you have understood why the small payment and see you again in my house
We loved our 4 night stay at La ripolina!
The silence, the views, the delicious breakfast, the lovely people we met.. It was all fantastic!
Laura is a wonderful host! Every night she recommended a perfect place to eat, including a romantic spot for my birthday dinner. She also arranged a small party and made a cake to share with the other guests, very special!
The rooms are comfortable, breakfast room is amazing with great big windows... We sat there chatting to other guests for hours!
The location is convenient, a few minutes drive to Buonconvento for shops and restaurants, and to Bibiano for the pub (cheap easy meal under 20 euro for 2).
I would recommend this property for couples, families and groups and would love to come back someday!
Laura's domain is charm full and the landscape view is stunning. It was a pleasure to be welcomed by her. She explained us many interesting things about her region and her agri-turismo, its history, her passions,... Her kindness was a precious gift in our trip. The room and the common space are very typical, comfortable and both have a great view. The swimming pool was also a nice opportunity to take a sunbath before continuing our trip. The breakfast was huge and delicious. I warmly recommend Laura's place.
We had an absolute wonderful time at Laura’s place.
First, Laura is the friendliest woman of whole Tuscany and that says a lot because Tuscany people are all really friendly. She was really clear in the communication and she responded directly to our questions. We could communicate in English, what made things much easier. Her husband was also really friendly and came to say hello.
We had to go of road on to a dirt road (a solid dirt road) for about three kilometers to get to the farmhouse. We really felt in love with this place. It is a place where it is nice, quiet and peaceful. You can hear the birds and crickets and at night you see fireflies in the trees and bushes. The views are amazing, with sunsets as they are in pictures.
It is a pity that I can’t put any pictures of the breakfast on the Airbnb website. We are Dutch and we take our time for breakfast and like to have some variety. Well Laura made us every day an amazing breakfast. We had different kinds of bread, cheese, meat and sweets, eggs etc.
About four kilometers from the Farmhouse there is the village Buenconvento where we went for dinner and to buy stuff from the supermarket. Laura recommended us a restaurant where we had a special experience. The restaurant is run by one family and everybody is helping including the grandmother. We really loved the food.
We normally do not write such long reviews but we sincerely loved this place and the people.
