Welcome to Galway, the cultural capital of Ireland. Whether you are here for business or pleasure, a warm welcome awaits you at my home. Galway is a medieval city with an abundance of cultural activities, cafes, restaurants, pubs and nightlife. It is the gateway to Connemara, and starting point for tours of the Arran Islands and the Burren. There is much to see and do, however, if you just want to relax, the Latin Quarter provides a diverse selection of bistros and cafes where you sit and watch the world go by.
My home is situated in the middle of Galway City in a quite, secluded and private area. From the bus/coach/train station you can walk to my home in 2 minutes. The walk through the City to the Latin Quarter of Galway will take you 5 minutes.
I offer a spacious double bedroom. There is wifi, cable TV and private parking available to you. The fridge is stocked with all your requirements for breakfast and includes, juice, fruit, breads and eggs. Please help yourself to breakfast! If the day is sunny you are more than welcome to have breakfast on my terrace.
From Dublin/Dublin airport a direct non stop bus runs to Galway, so why not come here and sample the delights of a truly unique City!
Patrick was an excellent host. He had loads of great suggestions of where to go in Galway. His house was neat and easily accessible from the city and the bus depot. The room was clean an accommodating. I would definitely recommend him as a host.
I booked Patricks place last minute and was greeted by Kathryn as he was travelling himself. I couldn’t really have asked for a better place to stay and Kathryn was very lovely and helpful. Even gave me her hairdryer which was great. Unfortunately i didn’t get to meet Patrick but i can only recommend his place and next time when I'm in Galway I surely will stay with him again.
Unfortunately, we did not met Patrick who was abroad during our stay in Galway, but we met Kathryn who welcomed us. She's kind and has given us advices to visit Galway such as great pubs.
The place is a modern house in a private court. It is perfectly located in Galway so you only need 5 minutes to walk to the heart of the city. A real nice place to stay when visiting Galway and Connemara.
I stayed here three nights and it was great! The room was tidy and the perfect amount of space. Patrick has a beautiful home and insisted we were welcome to use the kitchen. The shower was great too--better than mine at home! Super quick walk to the city centre so not a hassle if you forget something at home. Also always elated to stay in a place with a good wifi connection. Have to mention how charming and funny Patrick was. We only saw him a couple times, but it was always a pleasure to chat with him and I would gladly stay here again.
Patrick's house is just a few minutes walk from the train station. A week before I left for Ireland he provided me with directions to his house. He was at home when I arrived and showed me all I needed to know. The room was extremely clean and quiet, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. Patrick was very helpful and suggested a fantastic pub where I met a number of locals and enjoyed some great live music. I would stay with Patrick again.
Patrick was a great host and he definitely helped to make my experience in Galway as enjoyable as possible. Unfortunately, there was terrible weather during my stay, but I was still able to enjoy what the great city of Galway had to offer. Patrick went out of his way to meet me at the bus station and walk me back to his place. It was a very short distance the station and most other areas of the city. He offered tea and cakes when we arrived and made me feel welcomed. His home was comfortable, clean and lovely. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. On rainy nights when I wasn't up for going out Patrick invited me to join him in the living room for tea and a movie. Though I didn't go out much it was lovely getting to chat with him. He gave an amazing restaurant recommendation for a place with great food and even better prices. By far the best restaurant recommendation I've received from an airbnb host. Patrick was a great host and I highly recommend staying with him during your time in the lovely city Galway.
Coming off the train in Galway, it was dark, slushy and icy cold winds. Arriving at Patricks, we were thrilled at how warm it was. The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows.
I liked making our breakfast, we didn't have to pick a time to have breakfast, and could sleep in as needed.
Patrick was nice enough to give us a lift out of town to the Eurocar office (further than you think!).
All in all, a good experience during horrid weather.
It was lovely staying at Patrick's place—it is very close to the center of Galway and he is very knowledgeable.
Patrick is a consummate host with a beautiful home! From the moment he so graciously met me at the bus station and walked me to his home, I felt so welcome and at ease. The bed is comfortable, the location couldn't be more central to everything in Galway (and especially the bus station 2 mins away) and time spent with Patrick is a joy. Great recommendations on places to see and eat. Pizza Napoli, Busker Brownes and the Pie Maker are my faves. Thanks for everything PJ!
Patrick was a great host; very friendly and professional. Immediately, he made me feel right at home. His place was clean and the bed was very comfortable. His place is within 5 minutes walking distance from the city center. Very convenient for sight seeing, bus tours, restaurants, pubs, etc. A definite place to stay while in Galway!
