  • We went to Louisville for my best friends wedding. We loved Ashley and Lukes house. Everything we needed was always right at our finger tips. The location was perfect to the wedding downtown at the Marcus Lindsay. Perfect for a girls get away weekend or just a family vacation or anything really. The town of Louisville is so cute and walking distance to almost everything! We made very special memories in that house over the weekend and cant wait to come back to visit Louisville and stay at their place! You will not be disapointed, Ashley was always there anytime we needed her. Thank you so much for letting us stay! Dont forget to sign the guestbook and use the card for Kroger, helped us out a lot!!! Thanks Ashley!!

  • Travelled alone, but felt comfortable and safe for my entire stay. Loved the backyard, and the cozy loft!

  • We had a great time at Luke and Ashley's place in Louisville. It's a few miles from downtown, but that doesn't matter. Germantown is a neat area with a lot of restaurants and bars. The apartment itself is big and fits a lot of people. The backyard is a nice touch as well. We used the fire pit one night and used all of their firewood (sorry). Great house, I recommend it!

  • All in all, the house met all of our needs. The location was great for our activities, (University of Louisville, Louisville bat museum, underground zip lining) although if you are used to suburbia life, you may want to reconsider this place as it is very much in the "city." A lot of bars, poorly kept homes, and garbage. That being said, I felt safe the entire time I was there. Only street parking and it is limited.

  • This was our first AirBnB experience, and I can say that it was so fantastic, that it will be hard to ever stay in a hotel again. Luke and Ashley's home was so wonderful, I didn't want to leave! Germantown is a great neighborhood of historic shotgun homes, very quiet and walkable. The home was filled with beautiful antiques and cute decorations. The beds were super comfortable. We brought our dogs and they stayed in the backyard, which is fully fenced. It was great not worrying about our dogs being crated inside all day. Ashley had some great restaurant recommendations, many within walking distance. She was so hospitable and charming. I would recommend staying at this home for anyone coming to Louisville.

  • Luke & Ashley's place saved my bacon. I'm in Louisville every year at the end of March for a big trade show at the Expo Center but this year our travel was approved too late to nab anything but an uber-expensive hotel downtown or a grotty dump near the airport. Feast or famine, in other words. As an experienced vacation renter, I searched reasonably-priced Louisville locales and found this place. The location couldn't be better: loved the Germantown area and it was close enough to the Expo Center to cab it if I didn't want to take the rental car. And - as another reviewer pointed out - the Four Pegs has an impressive selection of beers and a killer cheeseburger. Luke and Ashley's home has a large, inviting kitchen, plenty of charm and character and it's quiet enough that you can truly relax. As a veteran of these trade shows I appreciate being able to "get away from it all" and their place fits the bill. I think more business travelers are becoming aware of the vacation rental option so I only hope I don't have to compete with one of my own next year!

  • Beautiful, clean, spacious home in a great area. Ashley and Luke provide everything you could need for an overnight visit or a week long visit. We brought our family to Louisville for spring break and had a great time using the house as home base. The house is in a quirky, convenient location. We walked to the grocery store and could have hit several restaurants on the way there and back. If only we had enough time to eat at them all...

Beds and linens were super comfortable. Master bedroom was quiet and private. Kids LOVED the loft and backyard. There were plenty of utensils and cooking supplies to prepare meals. The decor was tasteful and charming. If and when we return to Louisville, we hope this home will be available.

  • Luke and Ashley's place is charming, homey, and an incredibly comfortable place to stay at. They provided great recommendations for first-time travelers to Louisville and we enjoyed the neighborhood as well as the relaxation in their place. I highly recommend this to anyone coming to the city!

  • Love, love, loved this place. I'm a Louisville native so know the area well. Ashley and Luke's place is near all the things you want to be near. It's a classic shotgun style house with tasteful updates and charming decor. It seems impossible, but it's even cuter than the pictures. Communication was easy and direct. I can't say enough good things about this place. I am so happy to know of this true gem of a place for the next time I return to Louisville.

We've been married for almost 5 years and just had our first child on Christmas! We met through some friends at our church, Sojourn. We have an awesome bulldog named Oliver and a fish named Joyce. Luke is a third grade teacher and I stay at home with our daughter but also make jewelry as a small side job. Luke loves basketball and most other sports. I really enjoy whitewater rafting and hiking to see waterfalls. We love Louisville, especially the great local coffee shops and restaurants.
