Super stylish design apartment with lovely garden.
Totally refurbished, all brand new. Two beautiful bedrooms with private bathrooms, fits 5. A/C, free wifi, flatscreen tv. Very quiet, green and elegant area, 10 min walking from shops and transports
I'm an interior designer and I've recently totally restyled my apartment in what I call a "scandinafrican style with a retro touch"..
It is brand new and has a lovely garden.
Hosts 5 guests - 4 in the 2 double bedrooms and 1 in the sofa bed in the livingroom.
I've taken special care to have a stylish yet warm and welcoming space, by mixing design classic pieces, custom made lightings and furnishing, high quality materials as well as family memories and photos from my travels and urban explorations in Rome.
The apartment consists in two double bedrooms, the green and the avio one, each with private bathroom - one with bathtub, the other with shower; a beautiful livingroom with dining area, an open fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, a studio area and a unique garden with lounge, dining area, solarium and laundry area with washing machine.
It's air conditioned, has a private hot water and heating system, lcd tv, radio, cd and mp3 player and free wi-fi connection.
The building has a daily concierge service.
The garden is private, at exclusive use of the guests.
The internet wifi connection is full and for free.
My guests have all my support and suggestions for living this beautiful city according to their likes and needs.
I'm always ready to help out and fast in answering when they call or text me.
It's my pleasure to offer to all my guests a special welcome gift pack with local delicious foods and a neighbourhood orientation tour to let them know all the amenities and facilities around.
The apartment is located in Parioli, which is very well known in Rome as a classy neighbourhood, very quiet and green. It faces a small park, perfect for walking dogs or runnunig, and is very close to Villa Ada, one of the most beautiful parks in town.
The Parioli area offers a wide range of amenities.
It's a real paradise for foodies: very good and high class restaurants and bars, wine shops, regional foods and supermarkets. Pretty boutiques, the amazing parks of Villa Borghese and Villa Ada, the zoo and stunning museums: antiquities public galleries such as Galleria Borghese and Museo Etrusco di Valle Giulia, of modern art like the Galleria Nazionale di Arte Moderna, of contemporary art such as Zaha Hadid's Maxxi and Odile Decq's Macro.
For music lovers: Renzo Piano's Auditorium and summer world music in Villa Ada.
Grand Tour apartment is very well connected via public tranportation to the historical city center.
Bus, trams and metro stops are all within 10 minutes walking:
- the historical heart of the city is just 3 metro stops away (Campi Sportivi urban train stop)
- by tram (Liegi/Ungheria stop) it's nice to see the city while going to Vatican, Coliseum, Maxxi museum, Porta Portese sunday flea market, nightlife districts such as San Lorenzo and Pigneto and many many more
- the bus no. 360 (end of the line in Muse) connects to Termini main train station and, from there, to Fiumicino and Ciampino airports
Free complete baby gear on request - stroller, chair, bathrobe, tableware, etc. - for my guests traveling with their baby

Staying at Grand Tour, being welcomed by Giulia is as coming back to a friend.
Grand Tour is: ' what you see is really what you get'.
All the small details, photos, collages, homeware makes you part of the italian way of living. A great place in a peaceful neighbourhood, with a lovely garden to enjoy, after a visit to the busy citycenter. It is no problem to get to the center, there are lots of transportation possibilities : tram, bus, metro. Nice shops to get groceries and lovely restaurants to eat great food at fair prices, which sometimes can be a problem in the city center.
Do try 'le sicilianedde' delicious dishes and very friendly and helpfull people. Let yourself surprise by the owner and you will be introduced into the delicious Italian cuisine.
It is also very reassuring that Guilia is always accessible to any question whatsoever, very useful if you do not speak the language.
In short, you can not imagine a better host and stay!
We will definitely come back
Giulia is a wonderful host. She welcomed us personally, gave us all the tips and information we needed and was always available for questions and tips. The apartment has everything you could want and Giulias love to the details is seen in every corner designwise as well as practically. (She even left us everything for a quick morning coffee) I'm sure we will come back again, maybe even this summer!
Giulia's place is great! It was clean and cheerful. Communication went smooth. Giulia's English is perfect. She was helpful and gave us all the information we needed.
She did more for us than you would have expected from a Airbnb host. Giulia is the best host you could wish for!
Thanks again Giulia!
Great place to stay: clean, interesting, quiet. Giulia is very hospitable person, she showed us where we can eat, walk, how to use public transport. We also were surprised to see very tasty welcoming delicious foods. Interior is especially very nice and well thought out. Everything was very good! Strongly recommend.
Egor and his family were so kind to me, they also left me a beautiful present! So I'm superhappy to know they loved my apartment and they had a great time in Rome. They all were truly friendly and warm and left home in perfect conditions. I want to say a huge THANK YOU to Egor, Evgenii, Angelina, Anastasjia and Olga! Come back anytime, you all will always be the most welcome back home.
P.S.: it's very nice of you Egor writing your review in Russian, too. I do appreciate.
We have to thank Giulia very much! She welcomed us with a bottle of cooled white wine and some other surprises which was very much appreciated because we arrived on Sunday when most of the shops were closed. Additionally, she left us her stroller for our 4 years old child anticipatory because she was better experienced how difficult it could be to make tours to central Rome without a stroller. Thank you for that especially! The apartment was perfectly equipped and esthetic furnished which we enjoyed always in the morning and evening when we came home from our tours to this quiet district of Rome. We used daily the train connection which is only 10 minutes walk but, if you enjoy walking, you can go by feet directly to Piazza del Popolo (45' / start of one shopping zone area) through the park of Villa Borghese (20') which is a place of interest anyway. For children you can reach the zoo which is connected to Villa Borghese from the apartment within 20' as well which we did to enjoy our small child on one day. Closed to the apartment you find everything you need. Giulia was so kind to show us everything closed to her home, especially the 'Gelateria' where the ice-cream was even better (end cheaper) than in the city center. Finally, she supported us with a reliable taxi on the way back to the airport which we appreciated very much in terms not be exploited by exorbitant prices. Therefore, I really like to recommend Giulia and her apartment for a stay in Rome and we thank her for everything.
Thank you Stefan, Carmen, Tassilo & Adrian!! I'm so glad that you all enjoyed your stay and found your way to match the needs and likes of every member of your family.. As a mom of a little girl 1 year older than Adrian I knew the stroller was necessary and I'm happy it eased your holiday. The gelateria is my special advice, I think it is alone a good reason to come to Roma!! And it's a hard place to notice. I always try to share my knowledge of the place with my guests but I'm always afraid I could be invasive.. Like I told you, as a roman and as a traveller I hate tourists' traps: if i can help at avoiding some, that's my goal. Thank you again, see you soon!
My daughter and I stayed at Giulia's place in Rome for one month! It truly felt like home to us. The place was beautiful, and full of all the essentials to live for a month. The neighborhood is safe and green. Although it is not directly in the center of Rome, there is so much to do within easy walking distance. Parioli street with shopping, restaurants, grocery, and more is just a 10 minute walk. Two huge and beautiful parks are also both within a 10 minute walk, including the amazing Borghese Zoo. It is only a 4 minute walk to a train that connects you right to Piazza del Popolo in only 3 stops or to the Metro to continue on to all the highlights of Rome. Transportation was very easy to navigate, from the buses, the trams, the trains, the cabs, and the metro. I highly recommend Guilia's place to offer you all the comforts of home plus all the sights to see easily accessible.
Finally, Giulia was one of the kindest people I've known. She treats you as family and makes sure that all of your needs or concerns are met promptly. We simply adored Giulia, her home, her neighborhood, and her beautiful city of Roma!!!!! We felt like true Italians! Thank you Giulia!!!
Well Laura, you left me with no words.. You, Pat and Savannah being to happy is a great, great reward for me. I'm specially glad because you spent a long time in my apartment and you agree with my description: Rome is a big city and living in the historical center does not mean you are close to all the places to see! Most important is to have good transport connections and staying in a beautiful area, with everything you need at short distance, Thank you very much Laura, do come back anytime and you'll be most welcome!
Neat, pretty and well designed apartment with a great location - not quite in the center, but right next to two parks, Villa Ada and Villa Borgese, which are both fantastic. We had a nice reception and farewell by Giulia. She was very quick answering all our questions, and had prepared some nice gifts on our arrival.
This place perfect for a family or a group of friends - easily will fit up to 4 people. Really nice terrace outside, should be great during summer season.
We had a great time over new year in this place!
We can't thank Giulia Menchinelli enough for making our experience in Rome as hospitable as it was. She received us the moment we got to the apartment with maps, a basket full of Italian goodies (LOVED the cookies!), tickets for the train and overall great vibes! The apartment was tidy, clearly well kept with fresh linen and cotton towels laid out, bathroom accessories and toiletries readily available and kitchen appliances and utensils well in stock. One thing we really appreciated considering we were guests from another country was the attention to detail. When traveling a lot of things are forgotten and a lot of things are alien in new spaces so just remembering to make sure that there are small things like socket adaptors becomes a huge plus - something Giulia had already taken care of. She ensured that maintenance was efficient and left a surprise for us in the refrigerator the one time she visited for a maintenance call while we were away. Any questions we had about the city were answered promptly by her via phone/SMS. We loved the apartment of course - the prime reason we chose to stay there. Giulia's designing skills are stellar - the apartment truly is a blissful, homely experience. We were able to travel out of Rome twice to Naples and Florence yet each time we returned, it felt like we were coming home. We highly recommend the apartment and would definitely stay again if the opportunity ever arises.
