Super stylish design apartment with lovely garden.
Totally refurbished, all brand new, great care.
Fits 5: 2 d. bedrooms+private bathrooms.
A/C, free WI-FI. Beautiful central area quiet and green rich in shops 10 mins from city center
I'm an interior designer and I just totally restyled my apartment in what I call a "scandinafrican style with a retro touch".
It is brand new and has a lovely garden.
Hosts 5 guests in 2 double bedrooms and 1 single sofa bed in the living room.
I've taken special care to have a stylish yet warm and welcoming space by mixing design classic pieces, high quality materials, custom made lightings and furnishing as well as family memories and photos from my travels and urban explorations in Rome.
The apartment consists in two double bedrooms, the green and the avio one, each with private bathroom - one with bathtub, the other with shower; a beautiful living room with dining area, an open fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, a studio area and a unique garden with lounge, dining area, solarium and laundry area with washing machine.
It's air conditioned, has a free wi-fi connection, private hot water and heating system, lcd TV, radio, cd, dvd and mp3 player.
The kitchen is fully equipped: toaster, blender, kettle, american and espresso coffee machines, dishwasher.
The area is safe and quiet and the building is guarded by a daytime concierge.
The garden is private, at exclusive use of my guests. It's so relaxing dining outside and resting after a day in the traffic and crowd of the historical city center!
The internet WI-FI connection is full and for free.
My little guests will have at their disposal with no overprice a little bed, stroller, high chair and proper tableware. As a mum I know how important it is!
Interaction with Guests
My guests have all my support since they book my apartment: I'm always happy to help out and fast in answering calls, texts and emails.
It's my pleasure to offer to all my guests a special welcome gift basket with local delicious foods and a neighborhood orientation tour to show all the good spots, shops and public transport stops of the area.
I love to give tips and suggestions for living this beautiful city in a special way!
My apartment is located in Parioli, very well known in Rome as a classy neighborhood, very quiet and green. It faces a small park, perfect for walking dogs or runnunig, and is very close to Villa Ada and Villa Borghese, two amazing parks.
The Parioli area offers a wide range of attractions. It's a real paradise for foodies: very good and high class restaurants and bars, wine shops, regional food shops and supermarkets. Pretty boutiques, parks, the zoo and stunning museums: antiquities public galleries such as Galleria Borghese and Museo Etrusco di Valle Giulia, modern art like the Galleria Nazionale di Arte Moderna, contemporary art such as Zaha Hadid's Maxxi and Odile Decq's Macro.
For music lovers: Renzo Piano's Auditorium and summer world music in Villa Ada.
For Architecture fans: the unique deco Coppedè quarter.
For the little ones: the Zoo, Explora kids' museum, the playgrounds in the parks and the little train in Villa Borghese.
Grand Tour apartment is located in a central area, very well connected via public transportation to the historical city center.
Bus, trams and metro stops are all within 10 minutes walking:
- the historical heart of the city is just 3 metro stops away (Campi Sportivi urban train stop)
- by tram (Liegi/Ungheria stop) it's nice to see the city while going to Vatican, Coliseum, Maxxi museum, Porta Portese sunday flea market, nightlife districts such as San Lorenzo and Pigneto and many many more
- the bus no. 360 (end of the line in Muse) connects to Termini main train station and, from there, to Fiumicino and Ciampino airports
Other Things to Note
Complete baby gear on request: little bed, stroller, high chair, proper tableware, blender - with no extra fee!
Also with no overprice I'll be happy to organize the transfers from and to the airport by booking a private car. It'll be waiting for my guests and take them straight home. Safe and cheap!
My guests are kindly asked to please take care of the apartment and the furnishing just like I do.
To please respect the plants in the garden, especially if babies or pets are in.
To please consider that other people are living in the building, when staying in the garden.
Check-outs are done before 10:00 and check-ins after 14:00, in general. But my guests schedules will be accomplished whenever it's possible!
For arrivals later than 20:30 a late check-in fee is provided amounting to € 30.
Smoking is only permitted in the garden.
Mille Grazie Giulia!!!
It's all about location, location, location, and while this is not in the middle of Rome, the apartment is well-connected and in a neighbourhood with great restaurants, bars, etc.
The apartment is spacious and looks and feels great -- excellent for a group of 4 or with kids.
Giulia, the host, completed the Rome experience with arranging a car to pick us from the airport, breakfast in the fridge, maps, etc.
Overall: highly recommended!
My wife and I and both our mothers had a lovely stay in Giulia's apartment two weeks ago. It's in a quiet part of Rome, outside of all the city's hustle and bustle and a perfect place to stay after a tiring day of sight-seeing. The apartment is well connected by bus, tram and metro to Roma Termini and the city center. We travelled mostly by bus and it took us about 30 minutes to get to Roma Termini.
Moving on to the apartment. It is beautiful, exactly as seen in the pictures. Very tastefully decorated by Giulia, who is an interior designer. Very comfortable 2 rooms with attached bathrooms for the four of us. A cute little backyard, where we all had coffee one morning and a nice little kitchen.
And finally about the host. Giulia was an amazing host! She was in constant touch with my wife. She gave us detailed directions on how to get to her place via email and waited for us at the bus stop to walk us home. She arranged for a car to have our mothers picked up from the airport. She showed us the apartment, answered any questions we had and told us how to get around the city. When we asked her whether there was a grocery store as we planned on cooking our own breakfast, rather than let us know the directions, she walked us to the store herself. A 15 minute walk! She told us about all the good places to eat in the area. She was fun to talk to and it was like having a friend in the country! She was in constant touch with my wife via the cell phone and we were texting her whenever we had any questions. She arranged for our taxi on the last day of our trip to take us to the train station.
In summary, a lovely apartment in a nice peaceful location with an amazing host to go along with.
We had a great time at Giulia's place, which is exactly like the pictures and very comfortable and decorated with style. Giulia replied very quickly to our reservation request and stayed in touch after the reservation was made, informing us about transport options and even arranging transportation from the airport to the apartment, where she was waiting for us. She helped us to get public transport tickets and showed us around the neighbourhood, which is lovely, quiet and green - yet with all necessary shops in the vicinity and only three train stops away from the center. The zoo in nearby Villa Borghese is highly recommended to anyone traveling with small children. Finally, the stroller Giulia provided saved the day, as the hills and cobble stones of Rome proved a bit too much, even for an ambitious three-year-old :)
So many thanks to Giulia for her help, a great apartment and altogether a lovely stay in Rome!
This was just perfect. The appartment is in a very silent part of the city even though you can get to the city center in 15 minutes. There are very nice spots around where you can get coffe and snacks. There is a supermarket, a bakery, nice restaurants. Everything. Giulia is a blast, she explained the surroundings to us and helped us with the public transport. She even prepared a basket with some breakfast for the next morning for us. The rooms are very nice and absolutely clean, the terrace is also beautifull. Go there!
Upon arrival we were greeted by Giulia herself. She showed us around the flat, which looks exactly as it's presented on the pictures. The interior is very fresh and the flat is very charming! The flat was very spacious with two large bedrooms, each with its own on-suite bathroom. The garden-area was enormous and very lovely! We spent every evening out there after long days with sightseeing and shopping. Giulia had also put together a basket of freshly baked goods together with a bottle of white wine in the fridge. A very sweet gesture :)
After having looked around the flat, Giulia offered to take us for a walk around the neighbourhood to show us different points of interest: the grocery shop, bus stop, metro stop and a few of her local favourite places to go for dinner and ice cream (which we unfortunately never got to try out..). The walk was very useful and nice - stopping for something to drink along the way as well as helping us purchase tickets for transport at a local news-agent.
The flat is situated in a quiet area which was very nice returning to after long days in the busy city center. The area felt very safe and we were not worried walking around after dark.
We traveled to/from the flat by bus and metro - both stops within 5-10 minute walk. All points of interest such as the Colosseum, the Vatican, Spanish steps as well as shopping is only 3-5 stops away.
We were told we could text/call Giulia if we had any questions regarding the flat/Rome. And so we did! Within minutes we got a reply with helpful information and tips :)
If I ever go to Rome again I won't bother looking elsewhere for accommodation - I'll give Giulia a call!
Thank you for letting us stay at your flat Giulia!
I'm Giulia Menchinelli, I'm an interior designer and mom based in Roma. I'm 44 and have a girl of 6.
My loves: my family, swimming pools, relating to people, felines, rocknroll and learning!
I love reading, too. My favourite writer is Joe R.Lansdale and my book is "Il conte di Montecristo".
My place of the heart is surely the one I haven't seen yet.. Travelling is one of the best things ever and wherever I lay my hat, that's my home!
I love so many things but above all everything made with care and attention.
The same I commit to my guests: making them feel like home is my priority.
I love welcoming and supporting them in order to let them live Rome like Romans do.
My best reward is welcoming back my guests and knowing they had a great time in my home.
We all are travellers, not tourists!
