This is a very spacious apartment which can take four adults in addition to one or two children. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, large living area, nice balcony and large fully loaded kitchen
The guest can have access to the washing machine and can park the car just outside the apartment( on street parking)
It is considered to be near downtown Amman, yet it is very quiet and situated in a friendly neighborhood.
Taxis are available round the clock from just outside the apartment.
Other Things to Note
The place is not far from the old downtown Amman, the Roman Amphitheatre, Amman Citadel, the Blue Mosque, Gallery of Fine Arts, amazing Darat al Funon( House of Arts), the busy shopping area of Jabal al Hussein and the cosmopolitan Rainbow street.
We prefer smoking outside the apartment. There is a nice balcony which smokers can use. Since this particular apartment has a separate electric meter, the guest is expected to pay ( 200 fils /KWH)for the electricity including the a.c.units.
Ragai and his apartment manager Ehab made us feel welcomed beyond our expectations. He waited for us well past our anticipated time of arrival (it was bit complicated to find in the dark). He was a gracious host. We enjoyed our visits and talks with him, his wife and neighbor. He was responsive to our requests and we could have asked for more items, such as a top sheet that we are used to receiving in America, had we understood they were available. The living room, 1 1/2 baths, 2 bedrooms, and kitchen in the older apartment in need of some deep cleaning and tender loving care and two entrances were nice to have. We were a bit cold because there is only a propane heater for the entire apartment. It was great getting to know Rajai and we felt at home with him and his wife. Walking us to the restaurant and recommended it were very helpful and enjoyable.
Honestly, if this apartment had been neat and well cleaned - it would be a very good place. It is spacious, has all the needed amenities, quiet at night, the beds are comfortable. It is situated in a good central location, too.
Unfortunately, the condition it was in when we arrived reduces its value by two levels. Most of the furniture, the chairs, the tables, the shelves, not to mention the floor, were so dirty and dusty - covered with a proper layer of sand - that it was not possible to put our things down or sit down ourselves. And this just makes you feel not pleasant.
It took us over 1 hour of our time cleaning everything in order to feel comfortable - this is not what our time should be spent on during a vacation trip.
However, the house keeper Ehab was extremely welcoming and helpful on any requests we had in the apartment.
All in all, thank you for hosting us, hopefully the condition of the apartment can be improved for further stays.
Rajai was very communicative and supported me during my stay in the appartement. The housekeeper was very responsive and asked me if I needed anything. I had a nice stay in Amman!
The place was spacious and comfortable, it was a cold periode in Amman, but there was AC and gas heating cilinder in the appartement. Supermarkt closeby.
Rajai was a fantastic host. He and his helper welcomed us and also treated us with local cookies and Arab coffee. Rajai offered us excellent advises on how to best spend our time in Amman.
The apartment is well-located, and within walking distance to the Blue Mosque. Spacious and well-maintained, it is ideal for group travellers.
However, the stay could have been a better experience if the prices of laundry and towels had been made clear. We were under the impression that the laundry services and towels were offered out of good will, since no prices were mentioned at all - until the last night we were told to pay JOD2.00 for each towel and JOD6.00 for laundry service. Overall, it was a great stay.
Thank you Leo for your review and your kind words. I am sorry about the charges for the towels but you know that these charges are legitimate and fare. No one can do your laundry and give you towels which you took out of the apartment, without charging you this small amount. This is common practise all over the world. You are welcome back anytime.
Rajai is a very nice host and a very kind father of 3 children. He offered lots of good advise of touring in
Jordan and very local views on Jordan culture, politics and local people's life. Room is big and nice with huge kitchen and nice bed.
The place is as pictured- well-equipped and within walking distance (about 20 minutes) to most things in Amman. Rajaj is a very attentive host. He is hospitable and really wants to get to know all of his guests. He came by the apartment several times just to chat and to check in on us.
